He could only do that if he was a Swansea fan.

Check out his posting history.
No just a fan trying to bring some nuance. If the reaction was fair on here and people accepted we were poor but got a very much needed win I wouldn't of said anything.

But the reaction was like we won the game 4-0 and created ample amount of chances.

I agree, the second half drop off was worrying to me also. If Oxford had got one after half time we could well have crumbled again. We seemed to do the retreat back into our shell again and leave Oxford attack us and they really should have scored one.
To be honest the 5 at the back sub with no ST has just sent alarm bells ringing in my head.

Against a team like Oxford at home with the crowd behind you it's just given me so many red flags. That game was there to get 1 or 2 more and instead we were fortunate to hold onto the win.

And again from open play we did less then them.

……but I digress. What I saw yesterday was a world away from what I’ve been witnessing this season so far. Aggression , pressing and poitivity. Eom whom I’ve criticized was a revelation and the squad seem to be reacting positively to the new manager. It was nice to see widell having some game time and showing glimpses of his excellent ball control on the left touchline . As for the manager it’s a testament to his personality that he managed to train the side without his chosen team. He deserves the result as much as anyone.

We were still dangerous down the other end! Should have wrapped the game up with another two goals at least. Go back to the cardiff board

Could be wrong, but I think that might be the first time Widell has started a game in the centre of midfield as opposed to out wide. Agree completely that consistent game time is the key.
It is the first time he hasn't been shunted out on the wing and I have consistently argued that his best position was in the middle of the pitch. His vision for what's around him is actually pretty impressive and he doesn't hold onto the ball unnecessarily and tries to keep us moving at a good attacking tempo

The hustle of playing in the middle threw him a bit. Couple of times he got caught on the ball because he just wasn't expecting it to be that quick. It's the sort of thing that can only be fixed with game time though. Want to see more of him than we have.

Yesterday was a step in the right direction. Lots to improve on, but definite signs of Matos,s ideas. Game was spoilt by the constant fouls committed by Oxford deliberately stopping our attacks, and they continued doing it because no yellow cards were shown by an outrageous ref. I am convinced that there is a definite bias by these English refs to the Welsh. Its happening every single game. Had one of our players committed those cynical fouls they would have been shown the yellow card

Lots to digest and lots of improvements- 2 questions
What does it say when you bring off uour striker and opt to play without one instead of Idah?
What the hell has happened to Cullen? AlwYs been streaky - but he looks shocking right now - at home on the international stage but out of his depth in the championship- go figure!

Nothing's really happened to Cullen. He is playing about as well as he always has barring that little spell last season that got people so excited, and the Championship is a helluva lot more competitive than most International games he'd be involved in.

If we've got any serious ambitions of leaving the division in an upward direction this really should be his last season here.

just a thought. As we were the only team in the league, not to have scored from a set piece, was the ball to the back post for Stamenic’s goal a planned move ?
