S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea 3 Crawley 1 | Att: 5,095 | The EFL Carabao Cup | 7pm, Tuesday 12th August 2025 | The Swansea.com Stadium

Definitely missing Grimes/Allen when it comes to that easy 5 yard pass to beat the press from a throw in. Very sloppy in possession. Cooper and widell both not doing enough for me.

Happy with the defence especially Parker and Casey. Even Fisher looks decent with his distribution.

Widdel is putting in a shift , Ronald should have buried that chance. Surprised Inoussa isn't trying to take on the RB more with pace.

Sadly Vip is Vip.. wrong area for his chance and wrong area for the Galbraith goal.

Cooper having no real impact apart from passing backwards an obvious trait some older squad members can't kick.

In the second half I can see Cooper and Widell making way for Franco and Eom
Give Eom the opportunity to play in the hole against limited opposition and show he can cut the mustard

Half time thoughts:

Casey and Burgess have been safe as houses
Parker has been busy up and down the right and linking well with Ronald and sometimes Widell
Tymon and Inoussa partnership has been very good, plenty of skill and they both put in excellent crosses
Vipotnik at fault for not moving up with the defensive line to deny the second goal
Galbraith has also been excellent, covering everywhere and distributing the ball well
Cooper I had to double check the team sheet that he was actually playing
Widell started slow but grew into the half, slightly off the pace but the passes he tries are the right ones, forward incisive balls threaded between players

"Vipotnik at fault for not moving up with the defensive line to deny the second goal"

Have a feeling the keeper would have got the save in if Vip wasn't blocking his view.

For me Burgess is streets ahead of Darling ( who i liked btw ) and Galbraith could turn out to be the next Leon, word for Inuossa too.

Perhaps but we would never know, it was hard and low in the bottom corner, would have been an excellent save if the keeper had reached it.
