• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

It did feel like Watford gave up by the end.

Their mascot spent most of the last quarter sitting by their drum looking miserable. Inasumuch as you can tell what a furry hornet is feeling.

To be fair their mascot did applaud us at the end, although there was no one else left in the ground by that point.
After the second goal they dropped their pressing and ran out of ideas

Stamenic class again, a deserved win. I was chuckling on the way back to the car thinking of someone thinking Sheehan used to watch him play for Olympiacos and Forest reserves in his spare time 😂

Brilliant performance particularly in the second half, Vipotnik visibly annoyed Galbraith didn’t thread that ball through to him when on the edge of the box, if he would have then I think that’s a 3-0 away win.

Onto Sheff Wed!!!

Do you think we’ll bring (m)any in now? Not sure I see any point in more loans and the permanent signings would need to improve the first XI to justify it IMO. Would prefer more thought out decisions after the manager has had another 3 months with the current players.
Probably need a CB to cover plus this Walta signing that nobody really expected and we will be fine. Signing Walta allows us to push Widell or Yalcouye out wide if needed.
Will be interesting to see if a striker comes in or will they just use Cullen as cover which again helps with Walta coming in. Wales wasn't in the matchday squad so looks like he could be out on loan.

I thought today was an excellent result.

We lacked quality and composure at times but our energy and desire was second to none.

We won that because we wanted it more. And you can’t ever criticise that. There is no more that the team can do.
We’ve played pretty well in some recent away games and lost, so I’ve got no issues that we were poorer on the ball today and won.

Lots of ways to win games but as you say if you run further and smarter than the opposition then you’ll win more games than you lose in this league. There’s a clear idea being implemented and the players throughout the squad seem to be buying into it.

Have you no experience of Daps mun?

We need
10 strikers
4 fullbacks
5 No 10s and
6 wingers

Minimum.

We have no forward if Vipotnik gets injured. I’m sure we will bring one in.

We don’t have the individual quality that some teams have across the board so it’s the way to win. And it allows those with a bit of quality to win the game for us. Like Stamenic today who I think is a very good player.
