Swansea defy poor away record to beat Watford
The Welsh side had picked up just three points out of a possible 18 on the road under new manager Vitor Matos, but were convincing winners.
Yes. Looking back through the posts, I think I know what word was used, I haven’t heard it for years, but from what I saw in the quote post, I don’t think there was any real malice in it. Christ when was that phrase used frequently, late 80’s.I think I may have seen the sentence in question. And while I agree that people may find this offensive, it is a word that is/has been used around the country for years. I am not saying that this is ok or acceptable, but growing up in Swansea, I heard it a lot. (Not heard it ever since leaving 20 plus years ago).
I think Banning the person in question may be a bit harsh. He may not know the effect it has had yourself or Lisa or some others posters.
He may apologise to those, he may not?
He may learn not to post it, or not?
I do not know the history of this persons posts, but I guess if it is always upsetting people then a ban may be in order.
If it’s a one off or mistake to learn from then that can be a good thing as one grows.
I guess it’s called adjusting to the team and the leagueHis biggest flaw this season has been a tendency to hold onto the ball too long and run into blind alleys trying to do too much. There was none of that from him today, he carried when he should carry, released it when he should and was a total pest in midfield
There’s no reason or excuse for using the word that he did, not just once but deliberately repeated it again with the intention of being of offensive. Context has nothing to do with how it was used, it’s a vile term.Yes. Obviously if you direct it towards a disabled person then that’s out of order, but in that context it’s slightly different. I would hope that there was no ill intent.
There are some good tests ahead…Derby away should be an interesting yardstick.Allow me to be on the optimistic side again. I think the squad was underperforming under Sheehan and VM has been fixing it and it shows. The form of the squad and individual players, the attitude, the aggression. I’m not sure we are automatic promotion material but we certainly match most of the team in the playoff places. Long may it last.
Just call me Nostradamus. Then again, we also have form for being the final nail in a failing manager's coffin.
