• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I'm really not convinced that would achieve the same effect this year. We've got worse as a whole since then, not better.

And if we do look for a player of that calibre, it's probably a wide forward/attacking midfielder we need, not a CM. Our wingers are all absolutely pathetic, none of them are actually worthy of the job title.
When a team is both hopeless at attacking and creating and hopeless in defence, chances are it’s the midfield that’s the problem.

They aren’t supporting and creating attack as and they aren’t supporting and providing an outlet in defence.

It’s all pretty and pointless.

Franco played really well for 25 minutes and it drove the whole team. Once he tired, we were buggered.

I think ou

r performance went down once that tackle was put in on him, and the player wasnt even booked, i think another tackle followed , and we just caved.

Sheehan has really fucked us here I think - mental and physical fitness non existent. Just obsession with shape

shape? we have no shape, defence a mess, midfield no existant and strikers.....just the one it seems.

The flanks make up a significant part of the pitch. Under Martin, I honestly believe if we could have strengthened there (Ogbene), we would have been in the play offs.
Since the Duff era, the flanks have become our downfall. Almost zero productivity and a real weak point, ripe for targeting.

Last season one loan made a huge difference to the team.

We need to attempt to do the same this year.

One experienced, probably expensive, loan from a team that has a midfielder who is great at this level but not quite up to it at premier league level, who can inject energy and drive.
Hopefully Matos can use his contacts to find someone.
That player did what we have failed to do so far this season, drive at them from defence .

I would argue it goes back to Martin as well but, regardless, your overall point still stands. We are bloody hopeless on either flank, going in both directions. For about 20 mins today we looked like something might be clicking but it turned out a total flash in the pan. And especially on the right. Key has become a massive disappointment, he's gradually gone further and further backwards the longer he's been here.

Looked a steal when he first joined, god knows what's happened

I'm still utterly
Amazed about what's happened today. Brom looked dead and buried, crowd killing them and every pass, bereft of any idea, yet we roll over and let them fucking swamp us for 60 minutes?

What the fuck is going through these idiots heads?

Sheehan is really going to ruin us here. They are completely bereft of any idea other than to absorbe pressure and wait it out. He's fucking killed our football, mental and physical fitness.
Im stunned by today and feel like complety giving up on the club. But Swans is my life and I can't do it. Though its making me depressed. I knew it was always going to be tough with 2 - 0 even in championship but that second half. 😕😕

And the answer is…recall our players from the Tizer league 👍
