S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Wrexham v Swansea | 8pm, Friday 13th March | The EFL Championship | The STōK Cae Ras

Now that we're seemingly safe from the drop, and with Wrexham seemingly still jaded from the FA Cup and Hull games, all the pressure is on them. I think we can turn them over if we play like we did first half against Portsmouth. Need to put the game to bed though if the chances are there. Tight 1-2 I'm going for with us all being put through the mill again for the last 15/20 minutes

This is the game that defines the remainder of our season.
Lose and we are 8 points behind Wrexham who have a game in hand with only 8 games left to play, essentially season over.
Win and we are 2 points behind them right on their tails and in with as good a shout as anyone to barge into the playoffs.
Im suddenly nervous now. I defo couldn't deal with the pressure if I was a player or manager. 4-4-2 all the way 🤣.

When you are in the middle without any realistic prospects there isn't much pressure and you just play your game picking up points and putting in performances as and when you can. At the bottom the pressure is on you to do both, at the top the pressure is on you to just pick up points by hook or by crook.

Twice this season we have come in touching distance having clawed our way up the middle of the pack and both times we let ourselves down against Preston and Derby. Hopefully the lads will have learned from those games.

We need to want it more than Wrexham do, in terms of quality there isn't too much between the two teams. It's going to come down to hunger and who can stamp their authority on the game more.
