Agreed. But unfortunately no matter what he tries, I think that this squad is just not good enough, the summer volume (not quality) of players hyped us all up at the start. Reality is we're average at best, moving rapidly to below average ..and I fear a relegation battle no matter what the new manager brings to the table.
This squad was never meant to challenge for the automatics. This was a summer of a huge squad turnover. Throw the spaghetti at the wall, see what sticks and fill in where needed in subsequent seasons.

No one can deny that this squad is not performing up to their capabilities. As long as we're realistic that this squad, starting where we are now, should consider 12th or higher a huge victory.

Matos wasn't hired to be a miracle worker. He was hired to build a project. His experience with moving young players into 1st team roles is why he's here. I would fully expect us to strengthen the squad in every window we can afford to do so, staying just this side of PSR.

Anyone who thought tonight was going to be anything different is living on another planet. New Manager needs to coach a new way of playing into these guys.

Benson’s hilariously bad

We can’t cross to our players so why is that still the main tactic?

Glad you explained the plan, I was getting a bit worried about things 👍

Thank you for your honesty. I have always found your posts to be insightful and I am sorry we differ on this one point.
That was all bollocks, of course, I am 85 posts from getting my Player Name, so any excuse to bulk up my numbers. In reality I wonder why you and the other miserabilists are still bothering to turn up on here.

Only players that have put in a performance worth keeping their place.

Expected more than losing 2-0, looking disjointed, struggling to get the ball off the ground for crosses.

Glad there is a plan, I can rest easy now 👍

Except we have a top 10 outlay and could be 3 points off the drop.. can't score goals, can't stop goals.. and our mentality when conceding is to down tools
