• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Carlos Corberan likely exiting Valencia, did wonders with West Brom when they were on in rele zone
Watched Valencia lose 2-0 at home to Villareal a couple of weeks ago and thought VLC attacked and defended a lot like us. Was a poor watch

I think you might be surprised.

We're still 7 points off relegation.

He isn't going anywhere for the time being. Certainly not during this international break anyway.
Personally I feel Norwich and SU will start to pull clear and if we don’t get rid of Sheehan we’ll be in a dogfight with pompey, Oxford and Blackburn. We also need to give any new manager some time before the January window so additions can be well researched. Let see what happens…..

Not coached right, deteriorating performances on the pitch, confidence erodes and we end up here.

Josh Key was better several seasons back and that’s a view I am sticking to.
Josh Key had been poor since day 1 at Swansea. He just isn't good enough for the Championship.

It's really gutting to be in a position where we are going to be sacking a really decent and honourable manager.

Unfortunately though the football we have played this season has been absolutely dire and I honestly don't think he's got it in him to be a manager in his own right.

It feels quite sad
You've literally contradicted yourself..

Really decent manager but hasn't got it in him to be one.. which one is it?

We won't be for long.

Soon enough creating fuck all and defending like minges catches up with yoy

For some reason you keep backing him

For some reason you keep wanting him out despite us not being anywhere near relegation. I don't understand you as much as you don't understand me, quite frankly.

Nowhere near relegation?😂

Bottom 7

Bottom for evey attacking metric

Bottom 5 for defensive metrics

2 wins in 10(?)

Wake up!!!!
Aka we are 7 (SEVEN) points off relegation with only two spots to avoid.

You, like a lot of others, seem to not understand the concept that you can be less than impressed with the way we're playing, yet at the same time not in the slightest bit worried about our Championship status. That's where I am on it, and chucking xG stats at me isn't going to change that.

You shouldn't be worried either - given you think we've got the players to be top 6.

Take a chill pill.

Talk amongst the press lounge and media is that Sheehan will be going after today.

I don’t think that’s any inside information but just a general hunch amongst the media
Stupid question I know but did the mood feel like his time was up across the ground and behind the scenes?

It was implemented against City as a means to stifle and frustrate them. We hardly left our half in that game (for obvious reasons).

The fact Sheehan is using that game as a template to keep using the formation/system is baffling. Since City, we've taken 1 point from 3 games.

We looked so much more comfortable and threatening at the start of the second half today after the change in formation.

If he survives this international break and we line up against Bristol City with 5 at the back, it will show he's learnt nothing
Yes, I agree with that. We should have more confidence to have a go at teams in our league. We look much better 4231.

If we did get rid of him with no-one immediately lined up, I’m struggling to think of anyone who could be a caretaker manager
Im being super honest when I say literally anyone would set up better than what Sheehan did today. It really showed how poor tactically he is. I wouldn't care less if we have know one for weeks. Get the right man in.
