S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea 1 Derby 2 | Att: 14,251 | 25/11/25 | The EFL Championship | The Swansea.com Stadium

He's only been here five minutes.
I think he means the board's appointment not the manager himself. So far he's right, we waited until after Bristol City game to appoint him and spent 1 million euros for him when he's only had 12 matches in Portugal's 2nd division, won 6 of his 11 league fixtures, Championship is a tough competitive league so he's really been thrown into the deep end here. What's worse for him is he wasn't even our 1st choice, Hellberg was, and we couldn't get him

The only conclusion to be drawn from tonight is that our Championship status is now entirely dependent on a new head coach who is a total rookie at this level of football.

Make no mistake - if this guy turns out to be a dud, we are going down. Pray he's not.

Anyone thinking Galbraith in the no 10 role?

Stamenic and Franco the holders.

Just trying to figure out how we get a tune out of this midfield.

it's gonna be a tough ask, poor guy is really been thrown in. what did we give a 4-year contract to him for!?

I think the main problem is that safety and passing back is ingrained in this team. Yes, we had loads of possession tonight but it was all passive, safe possession, the ball is hardly ever moved forward quickly, so we're always trying to break down ten men when we do attack. I'm sure Matos will have seen that.

Are you watching the game?.. we should in theory be 5-0 down
I was watching the game. Every time we put a cross in one of their massive defenders would head the ball away before any of our non-massive forwards got anywhere close. It was a futile exercise even if the quality of the balls had been better. That was my point. What was your point? That they should have/could have scored another three goals while we were pointlessly continuing to try to cross our way to victory? That would have been a valid response to my post if I had said anything about our defence. But I didn't. So I don't get your point. I know that another poster has said that you are not a Russian Bot/Troll from Penarth and that they've known you since you were knee high to a bombsite, but you sure as hell post like a WUM. With respect.

Ref blows up at 94.34 when their player was down for over 1 minute.
Not that it matters but just annoying.
It’s right that we lost.

The manager needed to see what a sorry bunch he has here. Jogging about looking disinterested.

If he knows what he’s doing he’ll rip them a new one tonight - we’ll know by next game.

I have to agree sadly. We go down then it will kill us. But I cannot make judgment on this. Its 1 game and its gonna take weeks. Yes weeks we don't really have. But it's clear confidence is shot.

No chance we get out of league 1 either

We miss genuine speed especially out wide when we have chance to break.
Every winger we have wants the ball to feet, only player who seems to want to run the channels and run onto the ball is Idah.

We seem to want to build all attacks from our centre halves so are constantly checking and re starting our build up play by getting back to Cabango and Burgess.
