Considering the way they are leaking goals right now they might need more than that, however it is good to see that we are holding firm over Wood and our valuation of him. Especially considering the way that Southampton have gone about the Martin business with us.

After the Dan James fiasco with Leeds it has taken four years before a deal has been struck with the clubs since then and that is despite a number of transfer links and attempted dealings that come up almost every window.

When was the last time a player put in an official transfer request? It means they're giving up some money if I remember right, which is probably why it almost never happens anymore. Surely telling the club you want to leave should count as a transfer request?

We need to make this happen, selling Wood for a decent amount would be like finding money in the street, Wood being selected for England U21's was a drop jaw moment (as well as adding to his sale value).

Nathan Wood leaving would actually improve our defence imho...

I'm hoping there's pressure on Southampton to get the deal done after missing out on RM's other swans target (Piroe), especially as Wood is apparently pining after his old chum.
