Lovely day, a nice firm pitch, against a team even though has won it's last game, should be there for the taking... an optimistic 3-1 from me 👍🌞😎

Hopefully the pitch will have dried out a bit and they'll have cut the grass.

Clearly the two things are not exclusive of each other but would people be happier on Saturday night with

a 1-0 win secured off the back of a performance akin to the Forest and Coventry game or
a 2-1 defeat where we saw some free flowing football and a great attacking performance

As I said clearly not exclusive and there should be no reason why both aren't possible but I think the question is relevant

If we want to be serious about this we have to build something. It’s a matter of time before results inevitably catch up with performances, as we have seen with Monk and Clement in particular. Martinez, Sousa, Rodgers and Laudrup built something, and they weren’t going to tear it down after a couple of defeats. Aside from the odd 45 we’re not good to watch, but as we are winning people are happy. I don’t want us to lose but I’d rather see us trying to get back to what made us successful ten years ago, even if it takes a bit more time.

I’m with you on that one, but I want to get up any old how no matter how ugly this time so that we have one years mega bucks and three years parachutes to do the reboot. The question is of course would we...or just try and keep churning out dogshitpercentageball. Or become retro Stoke. We have the long throw now as a key attacking weapon after all.

I’ve starting enjoying the clean sheets, so building better around that in actually passing to each other would be nice. Being as comfortable when we have the ball to when we don’t would be a huge leap forward.

Joel Latibeaudiere comes into the Swansea City side for this afternoon’s Championship clash with Bristol City.

The former Manchester City defender takes the place of Kyle Naughton, who drops to the bench.

Brandon Cooper is also included in the matchday squad following his recovery from an ankle injury.

Freddie Woodman remains in goal, with Latibeaudiere joining midweek match winner Ben Cabango and Marc Guehi in the Swansea back three.

Connor Roberts and Jake Bidwell are the wing-backs, with captain Matt Grimes, Conor Hourihane and Yan Dhanda in midfield.

Andre Ayew and Jamal Lowe lead the line again, while the visitors include former Swansea loanee Kasey Palmer in their starting XI.

Swansea City: Freddie Woodman; Joel Latibeaudiere, Ben Cabango, Marc Guehi; Connor Roberts, Yan Dhanda, Matt Grimes (captain), Conor Hourihane, Jake Bidwell; Andre Ayew, Jamal Lowe.

Substitutes: Ben Hamer, Ryan Manning, Jay Fulton, Korey Smith, Morgan Whittaker, Paul Arriola, Kyle Naughton, Ollie Cooper, Brandon Cooper.

Bristol City: Daniel Bentley, Jack Hunt, Adam Nagy, Famara Diedhiou, Adrian Mariappa, Nahki Wells, Tomas Kalas (captain), Zak Vyner, Tyreeq Bakinson, Ryley Towler, Kasey Palmer.

Substitutes: Max O'Leary, Antoine Semenyo, Taylor Moore, Sam Pearson, Sam Bell, Alex Scott, Tommy Conway, Han-Noah Massengo, Steven Sessegnon.

Cooper certainly doesn’t like changes... to the untrained eye this team is desperately in need of freshening up... but nothing bar an enforced change at the back.

Hopefully knows more than most of us.

Dont get it myself, i would have left out CH and one of the top 2 to incoperate Fulton and Smith. Playing a strong midfield will allow CR and Jake to get forward. I hope we dont get pinned in again.

Cooper is taking a leaf out of the book of binge drinkers everywhere. Its well known that one is able to drink oneself sober if one approaches the task ardently enough. I believe the players may be able to run themselves "rested".
Its certainly a bold strategy. Lets see how it works out for him.

That midfield ( if you can call it that) is incredibly weak, should have gone with the same one that finished the game on Wednesday and rested Lowe.

Piss weak midfield, I fear for our youthful centre backs as pearson will have them fired up.

I do hope I am proved wrong though.

Wtf isn't smith playing, we will need his energy.
