Tell me which player gets in the promotion team. Just one.

In answer to your question, Guehi & Bennett are both way better than Monk. Ayew better than Dobbie. Woodman and DeVries much of a muchness.

It's a rather arbitrary marker of quality anyway. There's probably a few members of the promotion team who wouldn't look like they could get into the promotion team if Cooper was coaching them rather than Rodgers.

Genuinely ridiculous.

Monk was far better than Bennett and was a better centre back than Guehi (who is a better footballer). Ayew was absolutely not better than Dobbie (but that’s not the equivalent position anyway) and Woodman was absolutely not better or anywhere near as good actually as Doris.

DDV better than Woodman
Rangel and Taylor better than Roberts and either Manning or Bidwell
Ash and Monk better than any two centre backs we have
Leon better than Grimes
Pratley better than Fulton
Dryer and Sinclair better than Ayew and Lowe
Dobbie better than Houlihane
Borini better than Whittaker

It’s not even close.

Passing to Ayew you might as well be kicking it out for a throw. Totally useless.

Reading and Barnsley 2-0 up now. The gap to seventh is closing by the game.

And dike has scored both for barnsley, looks like we got the wrong american.

7 in 13 for him, 9 of them are starts.

I really don't care anymore. We deserve nothing with these 'performances', and if that's what we get, we can't complain.

Yeah. We're keeping the ball on the ground more than normal.

Cooper did have a smile a few minutes ago - that must have been it.

I'm not saying our players are world beaters, they clearly are not but you're defence of Cooper is utterly baffling, he's a dreadful manager.

None of them would get into the promotion starting team because they can’t keep the ball for more than two or three passes. How much of that is to do with the manager and how much is that the players themselves aren’t as technically good I don’t know.

It has everything to do with the manager, what’s the point in having a manager otherwise?

The bald waiter turned players he played with in the fourth division in to great footballers, even when they got to the PL. That didn’t happen by accident.

We used to hav e people who could spot talent that’s why.

That’s the biggest change. When did we stop recruiting well?

Think we can safely say that promotion has well & truly gone, whatever happens today.

Cooper needs to be replaced asap in the hope that we can possibly get a performance out of these players before the end of the season
