If anybody had said we would finish above Norwich and Watford pre season I would have said no chance

Aye, but if anyone had said we'd finish behind Sundo, Millwall, Luton and Coventry pre season, I'd have said no chance.

Great result and I'd be enjoying it now if it wasn't for the fact we all know what w****r'll be along in a minute telling us Russy is the best thing since sliced bread and we're all tossers.....

I’ve been called vile and poisonous today by some chap.I think he s a Russy fanatic. It’s what happens when a devious coach crawls over over decent folk who love our club with mealy mouthed ,empty drivel . I have no idea as to what kind of an individual Martin is . He may be a lovely chap. It’s hard to assess anyone from the pages of a fans forum .

He will claim credit for this and will be touting himself for a bigger job using his teams possession stats as a boost for his CV. He has had decent players who,if left to play properly, would have easily made play offs. Ergo this season has been a failure.

We have scored well yet our defence has been dog crap and we again today played suicide at the back when no need.

I pray he goes asap.

A new decent coach would make us more sensible and pragmatic and we can end up top six though next year will be much harder .

Looking back on the season 2022/2023 can be largely defined by two things:

1. That 22 game stretch where we could barely buy a win, I think it was 12 points out of 66 on offer which was very much bottom of the league relegation form.

2. Very much contributing to the above was our weaknesses defensively, conceding a lot of late goals which cost us an absurd amount of points - many of those goals of which were completely self inflicted with RM sticking stubbornly to a style of play that could only be described as kamikaze football.

As for the RM in/out debate? Right now I am decidedly on the fence, more games like Norwich away and less games like Stoke at home and I could get behind RM for one more season. On the flipside I wouldn't be hugely upset if the speculation of Leicester wanting RM in the summer comes to fruition and we bring back Rodgers or Potter.

Another great day at the stadium, shouting, singing, swearing, with likeminded mates and fans. More than decent atmosphere today as well.

Another 3 points, and here's looking forward to next seasons rollercoaster ride.

Excellent precis of the season.
I think Martin will go. I’m reading matter that is similar to that when Rodgers and Martinez were manager, then they jump ship.Martin is no different and will dump us when it suits him. The new coach needs the same support

Seeing it full was very reminiscent of the Premier League days .
It’s worth reflecting on
We really were at the coal face of football.

Perfect way to finish the season. Go into the summer on a high, with the hope that Martin will finally manage to put together a full season or some other club will take note of our recent form (and possession stats) and give us some lovely compo for the manager.

Am I the only one who would quite like to see Cundle back here next season? Feel like he could make a Guehi style leap.

On Manning, he's had 15 combined goals and assists this season. Of course he'll be missed, would be silly to suggest otherwise.

If we'd held a 2-0 and a 3-2 at home in injury time, we'd be in the playoffs, never mind all the other points chucked away. Just those two results.
If my aunty had wheels, etc.

If you're going to look at the points we threw away at the end of games you should also consider the points we gained. Cardiff and Blackpool away come to mind. For balance, like.

Not to mention the game we literally just played.

They don't do balance on here, it's all negative shite constantly. When we win, it's nearly always because the other team was the 'worst team we've played'.

All clubs can point to bad runs, missed chances, piss poor decisions against them. It's what football is all about.

Some fans just cannot celebrate the simple things like winning a football match anymore. I'm sure it's down to the Premier League spell.

It’s more a yearning to get back there l
We should never have thrown away the years of hard work getting there and consolidating . It was unforgivable
Nothing beats going to the big Billy bollox clubs and beating them

It’s why Bony and Siggy still resonate in my soul

You are the most miserable of the lot.

You don't attend games (you're not alone), but are all over threads constantly whining about how shite we are. If you cannot enjoy the simple wins without harking back to what we had, following football isn't for you. You cannot wait to jump on mistakes, or a poor performance, but never reciprocate following a win, why is that?

Genuinely, can you remember going to a game, standing with your mates (or even just the bloke or woman that sits next to you), shooting the shit, all whilst watching a game of football? Because that seems to be forgotten by many. It's the anticipation, the camaraderie, the highs, the lows, and everything else that goes with it.

Chill out and smile a bit more, look for positives instead of constant negatives.

Fair comment but we have not met,nor are we likely to.This is a forum whereby we keep anonymity . I read that
I go to games unannounced. I don’t feel I have to clock on though and report how far I’ve travelled and how much I’ve drunk etc . I don’t even append photos though some of me are available at Blackpool away .
I have however been reluctant to go and see in the flesh what Martin is doing . That is my right
It is also my right to have an opinion and nobody has to like them . I read much poison on social media and clearly some people s very existence depends on them larking it on social media . I’ve seen photos of family appended which staggers me

Finally,we have fans thousands of miles away from Swansea and God help them, they get up at all hours to catch a game. These are the real fans not those who traipse along ,have a couple pints in the Alma and a Rossis rissoles and chips then leave early to avoid the traffic on Cwm Level .

Anyway, enjoy the summer . I’m done .

Thanks and be lucky

Aside from the result it was far from perfect.

I wouldn’t shed a tear if Martin wasn’t here tomorrow.

No one ever won a football match standing still or giving the opposition a head start. He’s had long enough and we’re poor.
