Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | FT Swansea City 1 Sheffield United 2 | The EFL Championship

Do you know what, if MPH had gone down...he wouldn't have given a pen.
The handball was right Infront of him and he took mo time to say no pen.

We just wanted a level playing field tonight and didn't get it.
Because it wasn't, Peart was pulling him all over the shop, it's called a fair contest when both are at it.. the red you can understand why he gave it, he doesn't have replays, on first viewing it looked like Darling attempted to stamp on him.. it was 1-1 already by then anyway.. you can point at the ref all you want, we didn't concede the equaliser because of the ref, that's on our coaching team being naive

You are entitled to ypur opinion...but surely it would he unfair to base the sacking on tonight?
We outplayed them first half...should have had a pen and they should have been down to 10 men coming out 2nd half.

So we sack him which probably looks inevitable but who replaces him.
It's the same as the owners all those calls to replace Kaplan And Levian now the same things are being levelled at the new investors..why might it be different with a managerial change.....remember we made a change 12 months ago too
Steven Schumacher. Maybe go abroad like the likes of Bournemouth and Brighton have done.

Managers would be crying out for a job like this at a club that many fans seem to think is already safe this season.

Absolutely no shame in bombing him out after 12 months. We are sinking like a turd in a well, there are elements in our fanbase totally blinded at times...Russ prime example.
And it's not bout tonight. Whers the next win coming from?

Hand ball was a pen and Davies should have had 10 yellows

Ref fucked it today skip

I'm not sticking up for the ref, you can understand why he didn't and did give decisions.. we were naive, like we've been all season and Captain Grimes is all nicey, nicey in all he does.. the hand ball law is skewed and there is no clear definition, it's the referees interpretation of events on that particular day.. because it's not clear

Agree re grimes

The only interpretation needed on the hand ball was that the cunt caught it!!

2nd one was clear handball.

Slow motions show it wasn't a red.

Grimes needs to certainly get a bit more bite in him when it comes to refs and putting doubts and questions in their heads.
Going by the couple of pull outs in tackles, Grimes needs get a bit more bite in his game.

There were 2 tackles he pulled out of tonight that I was embarrassed watching.

Maybe if he did he’d have had a red as well

Just got home. Fk, how do you sum that up? Poor crowd but reasonable support - nothing special but a good effort after the disappointment of the Cardiff game. Utd’s support pretty crap, but it’s a long way on a Tuesday night.

Trying to look past that shit ref, I thought we played really well. First half we were all over them. Everything good came down our right. Peart-Harris had them on toast and was linking well with Key, Franco and Bianchini. Bianchini ran his nuts off. 2-0 or even 3-0 at half time wouldn’t have flattered us.

Second half and we do our usual trick of not coming out and there’s a few minutes of madness that kill the game. It wasn’t clear what Darling did - saw him go to ground, but couldn’t see through players, so I’m keen to see that back. Their pen seems to have been nailed on based on comments on here. It looked extremely soft in real time - the guy was hitting the floor whatever.

The sending off killed the game and we stopped using our right hand side which had caused them do much trouble in the first half. But I was pleased with how we kept going and pinned them back in the last 15 mins - why not bring VIP on then to get some more presence up front? Parker with 3 minutes to go was a waste of a sub, no disrespect to the lad.

I thought Utd were poor but more savvy than us. As usual, it’s us getting key moments wrong that was our undoing. It’s no wonder players cheat when refs are so easily conned. Had Pratt-Harris gone down when he was fouled in the box we probably go 2-0 up and they go down to 10 men. It’s a different game then.

Oh, and our crossing was atrocious wasn’t it? Terrible - worst I’ve seen from us. Tymon at least normally has one or two decent crosses in him, but he was poor.

Overall that was a lot better than I was expecting and it’s hard to criticise the effort. First half was excellent. With crowds dropping off though, I wonder if that will focus Coleman’s mind to the fact we need to strengthen?

Bianchini literally gave them the ball back for their first goal.

Really poor crowd, we were all saying around 8000 inc away support.
Circus aspect aside, I thought it was a bloody awful game again. The front 4 are definitely not on the same wavelength.
Cullen a non entity again, Ronald erratic as fuck, diving like a minge. MPH is not a winger. I think Bianchini has something, he’d be my one positive.
Darling’s stinking tackle the first thing someone’s done with conviction this year.
