Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | FT Swansea City 1 Sheffield United 2 | The EFL Championship

A better performance overall, although that wasn't difficult given the shite we've witnessed recently. First half was most things that people have been begging Williams to do for months: More tempo to our play, less faffing around with the ball for the sake of it, Grimes actually spending time in midfield.

Sadly for the second half Sheff Utd came out like they'd had a rocket up their arses and we came out like the half time Lucozade had been spiked with Tramadol. I'd love to know what he says to them. Familar story after that, although pleasing to see how hard most of them battled as the half wore on and the ref's insanity grew.

We should have been 2 up at half time and they should have been down to 10 men.

They were dirty and cheating Ronald received a shoulder in the face twice with no fee kick given.
Watching that tonight didn't look like a team who weren't playing for rhe manager.
The ref cost us the points tonight.
I will question the decision to play Key at CB and Naughton out wide but that came from a discussion between Williams ,Hartley and Sheehan. Fair dos we kept fighting literally when we were down to 10 men

I felt cheated tonight.
Been games I have seen that I felt the ref was poor but a combination of Sheffield Utd playing the ref and the ref favouring them has just made me feel like we got done tonight by the ref.

They should have put Grimes there. He's there 90% of the fvcking time - so he would be used to it.

We knew Sheffield would go for it second half but we came out like a bunch of pussies. Weak, missing tackles, all over the place.
Just WTF goes on in our dressing room at half time?
They were out early warming up , 3 substitutes, and within 4 minutes they had equalised and we had a man sent off. Our second half performances are terrible. There's a huge difference to our goals scored in the 1st half against our goals scored in the second half.

The blokes a mute.

If you want to see how a captain acts just watch Van Dijk for Liverpool.

A real leader on the pitch.
If he was in the regs earlier and head early on then I think he has a lot more going through his head rather than just thinking RED.

Those rats equalising in the last minute hasn't helped my mood either

If the board had got a centre half in after Abbey left and Cabango got injured then a centre half comes on to play there tonight.

Every week and game we dont strengthen in areas we need beefing up then it's going to be points lost.
If they don't want to spend them this month is playing into their hands.
How people can't see our weakness as a squad and poor quality in the final 3rd and think getting rid of the manager with a few token loans is going to be ok is a massive head scratcher.

Shit ref who should face some retrospective action. Reality is this is a nothing season so not much point getting heated over this. We ain’t going down, we ain’t going up. Don’t waste money in January, but pull your fingers out and come up with an actual plan for the summer
I'm sick of people saying "we ain't going down and we ain't going up". Believe me Losing is a habit, just like winning. This is pure relegation form.

Darling has cost us a few games recently, he thinks he's better than he really is

He’s certainly not been on it. I don’t know whether it’s his recent injury, fatigue or he’s lost focus over this new deal. He’ll be begging us to keep him if he carries on like this. He’s not exactly putting himself in the window.

Complete lack of leadership on the pitch every week for us.

This lot aren't fit to wear the shirt.

I watched a clip of them walking in to the changing rooms earlier, all laughing and joking with each other.

Wouldn't be so bad if we'd just beaten Cardiff three nil.

I've clocked this twice, the away team enter the stadium 'in the zone', focused and ready for business. Then our lot walk in like they've just been dropped off by a taxi at the bottom of Wind St

Regardless of us being robbed, and we were tonight, there's a huge theme.

I'm sure we are second for first halves and 23rd or 24th for second halves.

That isn't something that happened just tonight. And it was something that has been there all season.

Sorry pal, not buying it anymore. LW just has to fvk off now.
You are entitled to ypur opinion...but surely it would he unfair to base the sacking on tonight?
We outplayed them first half...should have had a pen and they should have been down to 10 men coming out 2nd half.

So we sack him which probably looks inevitable but who replaces him.
It's the same as the owners all those calls to replace Kaplan And Levian now the same things are being levelled at the new investors..why might it be different with a managerial change.....remember we made a change 12 months ago too
