Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea 0 Millwall 1 | The EFL Championship

We are fucked unless the owners go. We need signings in January. We need to get rid of the way players are recruited. We need scouts not pieces of paper saying how many xgs they had per half per game bollocks. We need a manager who can pick a team and adapt to what's happening on the pitch. We need players who don't perform like blind retards.
Oh and we need a miracle.

Williams needs to f**k off and put us out of his ridiculous walking football misery, but he didn’t miss a free header from 6 yards out.

I’d genuinely rather have Colin as an interim, just to put a rocket up grimes’arse.

A lovely afternoon out at the footy ruined by the footy.

Can’t really blame Williams for not having a striker on the bench, but he’s certainly culpable for pulling off arguably our best player and our sole remaining striker.

Is there nobody at U23 level with a touch of zest and flair that can even claim a place on the bench? I’m genuinely out of touch with names so someone please enlighten me.

Second half was better for a while but a 1-0 win in our favour would simply mask the issues within the club, pretty much everything is rotten.

That was extremely harsh on us - we played a lot better and made far more good chances than in several games recently - but we simply have nothing up front. Our shooting is pathetic. Wingers, strikers, midfielders, they are all hopeless. It's pitiful. Peart Harris had a great chance in the second half and I swear if I didn't know better he tried to trap it instead of side footing it towards goal.

If we don't rectify this in January we will be in the conversation for bottom 3, no question about it.

Andy Coleman, you're an absolute disgrace. Go back over the pond and stay there.

Agree about us being better, but a win would only mask the systemic issues that plague us right now.

We'll see if the yanks are giving up pretty soon or not. If not, they need to get their hands in their pockets big style and sign a couple of Championship level forwards in January, never easy.
Whoever signed Bianchini ought to be sacked, ditto Vip, ditto Peart Harris on loan, ditto extended Joe Allen's contract.
We should have managed that game better when it became clear we were heading for a point, taken the feckin point and moved on, not made suicidal clearances as if we were chasing the game.

Your follow up points though make it not extremely harsh because whilst we created a few chances - outside of maybe the effort from Key - we never looked like scoring them. And that is because of all the reasons you outlined in your post.

We got what we deserved from the game or more to the point we got what we deserved from the way we have operated as a club for a few years now.

Worse things happen at sea aye lads 😂

Williams is a massive fucking walloper and we are stuck with the baldy coot!

Suck it up.

Had a feeling this would be a significant result regardless of what happened. Either a win to steady the ship and move forward, or pressure ramps on Williams. Pretty clear it's the latter, regardless on people's feelings on whether it's his fault or not.

We are so listless going forward that it beggars belief. I honestly do not see how this changes before January, if it even does then.

I sort of see what you're saying, if you don't take what were quite easy chances then you only have yourself to blame, losing the game felt extremely harsh to me though after an overall performance that didn't deserve that outcome.

Having said that, it really isn't the first time we've dominated a game at home, failed to score then had one brainfart at the back to lose 1-0. We've been here many times before. Happens too often to be an accident.

Your last paragraph says it all. There is nothing positive about the club at the moment of in the foreseeable future.

It is a struggle to even go to games local to us, in no way are we going to do "travelling" to games to watch inept displays.

Something that has been a big part of our lives is now an irritant. Nothing is expected apart from much of the same, so we are not disappointed.
