Boro have spunked away a 3-0 lead against Wednesday and now down to 10 men

Anyways, back to our matchday thread......

The quality in this team is clearly top 6, of that we have no doubt.

3-0 up to the most in-form team in this league. With Matty at the vanguard, the driving force, the leader on and off the pitch.

The sad agenda-driven fans who choose not to see this, need to stick to tiddlywinks

The truth as always lies somewhere in the middle.

Almost any side in the championship on their day looks like top 6 material, especially when their opponent has the total opposite.

The table doesn't lie, right now we are a mid table side. The players we have got have the quality but there have been some very well founded question marks about their mental strength. We have thrown away a significant amount of points after going ahead and it was only a few weeks ago that we got our first points of the season after going behind.

Fair play, you talk some nonsense at times

'Of that we have no doubt'

Well, I doubt it. So that's your point nulled

I know it's nit picking but, surely, at 3-0, and with no immediate threat from QPR, Matty could try playing in midfield and creating a couple more goals.

You'd need the full back to play as full backs for that.

The reason he stays back is because they are always forward, he covers making it 3 at the back. Its so obvious why he does it, can't believe so many want him to push forward leaving the back exposed without forcing the full backs back.

We need to just keep the tempo down and basically rest the players for the next game.

At 3-0 up surely there would never be a better time to give Ben Lloyd his debut. Give it until the 80th minute and give the lad some minutes to show what he is about.

And therein lies the massive elephantine Willy in the room

It's Lukey's job, in so many ways. And he's flopping

Almost correct.
The FBs are tucking inside, retaining possession at all costs (a Martinwang thing)
Thus squeezing Matty into deep pivot - and, retaining possession ever more so - it's all a not so cunning plan by Lukey to boost HIS stats

Well it's wasting his talent. Fullbacks used to attack before you know without the need for the midfield playmaker to drop to CB. Fullbacks shouldn't be forward all the time. They may as well be midfielders if that's the case
