Season 24/25 | The Official Match Thread | Swansea City vs Cardiff City | The EFL Championship

1-0 Cullen
Tymon puts in a peach of a cross, Cullen miscues the volley but it drops to Ronald.
Ronald's volley is well saved but Cullen gets the rebound for a tap in

Cullen unlucky not to connect few minutes back, great through ball

Ronald off his game, loses it easily too often today.

1-0 not enough. Vigs one mistake (hopefully) there

Silly handball by Darling there, how he thought no-one would see that I don't know

Corner them, first period of pressure for them at the end of the half. Well caught Vig

Great command of his box there by Vigouroux.
Took all the pressure off

Darling living on the edge a bit buying some extremely soft free kicks, ref is giving him less and less now so he needs to toughen up

Half time thoughts:

Good value for the 1-0 lead, wouldn't have felt undeserved if we had grabbed another.
We stepped off the gas a bit after about 35-40 mins though and let them come into it a bit.
Darling has been a bit powderpuff so far, getting a few very soft free kicks but ref is getting fed up of it.
Ronald hasn't been quite as sharp though it was his very well saved volley which led to the goal.
Franco has done a great job patrolling the midfield, pressuring to win the ball back and covering when Darling or Cabango push forward.

As soon as he gets the ball now they are on him like a rash stopping his easy forward ball. Need to change that tactic.
