When is Biden going to ban guns?

Horrible news, but sadly familiar when it comes to the States.

As for banning guns, it would take the greatest politician the world has ever seen to get that done in the US, which I'm pretty positive Biden isn't.

A horrible statistic from the Spanish tv news report of the incident this morning:
There are 120 guns in circulation in the USA for every 100 citizens.

70% of Americans don’t own a gun. Those that do tend to own loads of them.

You'd think then, in crude terms, that the 70% would be in favour of, and vote for, taking them off the 30%, wouldn't you?

It's not subject to a vote and never will be as long as the NRA funds the political parties. You can't amend an amendment see.

Whenever there are mass shootings in America gun sales for the following couple of weeks tend to increase dramatically. Went to the cinema in Nashville a few years ago and there was a sign in the foyer saying "All guns to be handed into security before visiting the auditorium ". Was out there the year of the Sandy hook school shootings , awful awful time.

You would on the face of it but it doesn’t work that way.

If, say, the Democrats had a policy of banning guns, those non gun owning Republicans would not change their vote because the issue is nowhere near as important to them as the other (largely economic) reasons for voting Republican. That’s hypothetical anyway because the most that the Democrats would do is restrict some of the most fearsome guns and introduce more background checks on others.
