Lock down proper as in nobody moves, let's face it the way they have done the previous lockdowns have not worked if they had, we would not be in the predicament we are in now.

So what are you going to do for the solution to some of the issues posed by Neath_Jack - one of which starts with how do people get basic supplies of food for starters

And - as was pointed out - no lockdown was created to remove the virus, they will only ever slow the spread

I take it from your tone of your reply, you are quite happy with the way things are going? As in the government are doing an exceptional job? Good for you.

Ok let's move onto the supply of food, LOOK if the government can spend millions on track and trace app, nightingale hospitals , I'm sure they can find a way to make sure everyone has food for a few weeks..

That's one hell of a leap you have taken there but you actually couldn't probably be further away from the truth but that's kind of irrelevant to the point being made one way or the other.

But on the rest of your post, you don't know how it could be done you just think there's a chance that it could be. Good for you.

Whilst I would personally welcome the Chinese approach of welding peoples doors shut, I don't think that would fly. My money is on us being in the middle of the longest lockdown so far, and it will last until February.

Yes I can because there are so many people out there that will not follow any guidelines whether partial or full lockdown.

The lockdowns we currently have work. If people follow the rules and apply common sense. And continue to do so as soon as they are over

And that is where most things fall down.

You keep saying the same thing, and you are told over and over they do work. It is what people do after the lockdown when they are free to do what they want that undoes everything that was achieved.

No I don't.. the thing is Monty, I am saying the lockdowns don't work, yet you and many others seem to agree, (which I do as well) it's the selfish ones cocking it up.. And we keep on seeing examples of this every lockdown, thus it will keep continuing, so the only solution is a proper nobody move lock down.

I think we can all agree we would love "normality"

Although there are many aspects of the old "normality" that I would rather did not return. There are things we have learned in the last nine months that we should take into the new "normality" whenever that comes around.

And right now, its blowing a gale and pissing down outside so being indoors is never a problem in that weather :lol:

They won't be though, people will be people, and unless a proper full on harsh as ferk lookdown goes on, we will always be in this cycle.. It's so bloody obvious, I'm peed off with it all.
