As long as it isn't Ashby again!Vital forum someone saying a Swedish striker close to signing and a loan defender from Newcastle.
I couldn’t cope with daps thinking you had some secret source…No flies on you Lisa
Awful he was, don’t know how he done at QPR last season. As long as it isn't Ashby again!
He does though and the secrets outI couldn’t cope with daps thinking you had some secret source…
He was shit with them aswell.Awful he was, don’t know how he done at QPR last season.
I think superb is pushing it on transfers so far. We’ve done a superb job so far with transfers, if the people on board now thought we couldn’t do it at those figures, that’s fair enough. Imagine we blew our budget on him and he picked up an injury early doors
Superb player at this level, but on we move![]()
Surprised you’re being all magicdaps about it. We’ve no doubt got to shift players, can’t keep buying and buying, without reducing the outgoings. You know more than most what a precarious financial position we are in.I think superb is pushing it on transfers so far.
I think we’ve brought in a good replacement for Darling and good back up replacing Christie or Delcroix.
We’ve brought in two promising midfielders and a promising wing and forward.
But we have gaping holes that at present have not been filled.
Back up at full back to replace Naughton / Christie / that other player I can’t spell. Centre back (whichever one of Christie / Delcroix that hasn’t been replaced by Santos). We haven’t replaced our best midfield player. We haven’t yet found the forward that is so desperately needed as first choice (Wales is a back up replacing insert name of back ups).
We are three short. And two of them are starters. May be we have people to bring in and may be loans, but we started brightly on the transfer front but have yet to fill the most important positions (apart from the Darling replacement).
IMO there are several players with full England caps to their names who were "a poor man's Leon". A travesty he never got to play foir England.I thought O'Brien was absolutely superb for us and will be missed for surely......I would hope the club brings in a similar style player but I feel our need for a holding midfielder will mean we don't see a like for like player come into replace O'Brien.
Hoping Widell is a similar type but he might be a different type of player which would be a gamble but I hope it fits.
One thing we must accept, we were never going to be signing a player on 30k plus a week especially a player over 23yrs of age.
Here is my gut feeling - we were correct not to sell the farm to get LOB. However, his biggest impact was that he inserted tempo into our play at a time when we were lacking any impetus.Surprised you’re being all magicdaps about it. It’ll take a few transfer windows to get us where we need to be in my opinion.
Galbraith will be superb, he’ll end up being better than LOB on in my opinion.
Agreed with this. It's been decent but wouldn't even consider the word superb.I think superb is pushing it on transfers so far.

Argument can be had for many players. Leon was superb for us and most certainly underrated outside of South Wales.IMO there are several players with full England caps to their names who were "a poor man's Leon". A travesty he never got to play foir England.
Hopefully that is what we will see improve over the warm up games. The team looked head and shoulders above Cheltenham in the first half and it looked like they were practicing the game plan. It did look too stationary and I think that is obviously the O'Brien gap. Here is my gut feeling - we were correct not to sell the farm to get LOB. Watching Galbraith - he looks neat and tidy, and technically great..BUT who is going to set the tempo for us playing forward quickly - like we did at the tail end of last season.
Maybe Franco and Galbraith - but they will need to inject more speed into their game to match LOB.
