Summer Transfer Window

I wonder if we might be in for Plymouth's Bundu. 10 goals and 6 assists in a relegated side is pretty impressive. Especially when you factor in his excellent defensive stats and physicality. He has the attributes of a 9. Only downside is his age - 28.
I would take his team mate Ryan Hardie 10 goals from Plymouth
Yates 335 minutes per goal
Cullen 299
VIP 288
Ryan Hardie 218
Mustapha Bundu 223
Strikers around 200 mins per goal are 20 a season strikers
Either 1 could be a value pick. Seems Bundu sign a 2 year contract so maybe a free. Hardie signed a 3

Not every player you sign necessarily has to have resale value - a few experienced heads on the pitch is just as important and you have to remember that a good chunk of our squad as a whole are on the younger side.

Once you take out Naughton and Allen the only others at 28 or above who are generally involved with the main team squad are Vigouroux and Fulton. I don't count McLaughlin because he is utterly atrocious as a player.

Ginelly is returning from injury and we likely won't see him involved until preseason - Naughton, Allen, Christie, McLaughlin and Pedersen all out of contract this summer which would leave only Fulton, Vigouroux and Ginnelly who are 28+ (what I would class as a senior player in the squad) 1745859472593.png

Hardie doesn't move the needle enough for me to make it worth us bothering. We've already got 3 modest scorers at Championship level. I know he has been playing in a poor side but he's also 28. I'd persist and see what Vipotniks like after a pre-season.

Good old boys team
Jonjo Shelvey, Ben Davies & Jamie Paterson all out of contract end of June
I'll take Ben Davies. Not Jamie Paterson or Jonjo, had some magical moments, but also could be lazy at times. We need younger players and maybe less of a retirement home vibe.

Not really - our paths cross doing post match interviews for Sky Sports.

But just met him down Caswell Bay, our kids played together… and we chatted football.
You say that in such a casual way. Love it. Next you'll be saying you casually met Anthony Hopkins in Tesco. Brilliant stuff 👏👏👏. No pop intended. That made me smile. Really excited about the announcement 👍👍

Would be an upgrade on Ronald, I’m hoping we get Poku on a free.
Ronald has 7 assists I think this season and when he can be bothered or better way of saying it - he just isn't up to it all the time. He does really well for 45 minutes. Get a superb replacement and use Ronald as impact sub. When teams get tired.

For me this is where I currently see us a side including where I think players should be playing:

------------------------ Vigouroux ---------------------------
------------------------ Marge Jr -----------------------------
Key ---------- Cabango ------------ EMPTY --------- Tymon
EMPTY ------ EMPTY -------------- EMPTY ---------- EMPTY
------------------ Franco ----------- Widell ------------------
------------------ EMPTY ----------- Fulton -----------------
Bianchini ------------------ Eom --------------------- Ronald
Parker ------------------- Cullen --------------------- Ginnelly
--------------------------- Vipotnik --------------------------
--------------------------- EMPTY ----------------------------

When a balanced side is viewed as one that has two players for every position we are currently eight players off of that goal. New deals for Allen, Naughton and Darling would be huge wins in that respect and there needs to be some serious looks at what youth products we have out that might be worth looking at in pre season to see if they are capable to stepping up.

Josh Thomas has been injured since his 3rd game in for the club we sent him to but had 3 goals in 3 games before that injury
Broome has only played one game all season conceding 4 goals vs Wrexham in the EFL Trophy 1st round
Kuharevych has only 4 goals in 21 appearances in the Scottish Premier League
Congreve is the only one who you could say has looked successful picking up 5 goals and 6 assists out on loan
Yates had 10 goals and 4 assists for a Derby side who without him in fairness would have been relegated

Our most promising prospects were sent out on bizarre loan arrangements, Glory Nzingo was sent out on a 1 year loan in January as was Josh Thomas who did have 3 goals in 3 appearances before his injury

Josh Thomas looks like he has been injured since his 2nd game in with the Irish club we loaned him out to

Ollie Cooper missing. I think Congreve could do a job next season too
