Summer Transfer Window

He wants to play us again? Has he announced that publicly?
play for us, yes publicly, see my original post, excert below

this from Fabs back in January during an interview with Viaplay Sport Polska

"Fabiański revealed that he harbors a personal dream of playing once more for Swansea City in the Premier League or a cup match. He clarified that this is merely a personal wish and not indicative of any confirmed transfer interest from the club."

I know you love the Fotbmob ratings, but we already have 3 strikers who don't score a lot of goals. I'm not sure why we'd sign one who scores hardly any goals.

What was his Fotmob rating in League 2, where he scored 1 goal in 31 games?

Plus we have signed/are about to sign Wales. I don't see another striker coming in unless Yates and possibly one of Cullen or Vipotnik leave.
15 goals in 35 games in the season that finished today is hardly a case of scoring hardly any goals.

This was from today's match and season summary on the BBC:

"Goodwin has kept it simple. A solid structure and hard-working players with a big man up front in Dalby who has been lethal in the box when given quality service through Will Ferry, Strain, Middleton and others swinging in crosses."

He's played in a Dundee United side just promoted, so to finish 4th was quite an achievement.

I'm not saying we should definitely sign him, but he's certainly worth evaluating. Yates will almost certainly go. Kukharevych has scored 6 in 25, and doesn't have Dalby's all round game, and will almost certainly leave on a permanent or loan.

The reality is that to satisfy P & S regulations we need some free signings. Dalby might, I stress might be one of those.

If the wages are Ok, which I doubt, I'd have him as backup. Interesting that you think a 29 year old centre half is too old and yet a 39 year old goalie is young enough.
Started 16 times for West Ham 2nd half of season so clearly still has it. What I am reading from Bolton fans is Santos legs have gone and happy to be shot of him

Fabinski will play for whoever offers him the best deal, he'd turn us over for Cardiff if they'd pay him more than us, that's football aye.

1. Goalkeepers can play longer, see Shilton, Banks etc.
2. The goalkeeper has been a regular starter at Premier League level
3. The 29 year old defender has never player above League One level.

Not saying he can't make it at Championship level but there's a level of disingenuous comparison in your post.
There's nothing disingenuous at all. Yes, keepers sometimes play past 40, but that's exceptional. And, as I explain, I'm not against it. Centre halves can play into their mid 30s. Da Silva for Chelsea springs to mind. Santos could easily see out a 3 year contract as a centre half. Whether he's good enough is another matter. But he's clearly a top end League One player (like his teammate Sheehan), as his selection for EFL team of the year 3 years in a row testifies. Again, someone we should be evaluating as a potential squad player. We need 2 centre halves minimum, even if Darling stays.

He had an injury that kept him out for a while. That would need to be fully evaluated to see if that's an issue.

Off Reddit:

"Not sure why this has appeared on my timeline but just to say as a Bolton fan he's a top player who stayed on a season too long with us and deserves a chance in the Championship. Big, strong, quicker than you think and is really comfortable on the ball.
Think you'll love him if he joins you."

As a squad player we should be looking at this, but we also need an up-and-coming youngster, such as Low.

Fotmob doesn't have a take on anything, it just presents some stats, which clubs find very useful, but some (many?) fans find as triggering as strobe lights for an epileptic...
Not at all, I've been using FotMob for years, I'm an official Beta tester for the App don't you know!! Best football app going 😍

I can't remember the last time we signed so many players before the transfer window? Yes we have a few to be sold and replace and we need alot more signings. Defensively should now be the priority. Then maybe adding to midfield. But really positive signs.

Wales seems to have been signed as a striker rather than on the wings (which seems to fit what I thought of him)

We probably now need one more central midfielder but after that all of our reinforcing needs to be at the back
Unless something changes we go into the summer with one senior centre half, one left back and one right back. Probably need to sign at least two centre halves and either one of each full back position or one player who can play both sides

In my view we need the following this summer -

A back up for Key if Parker is not the plan

A back up for Vig.. Fisher? or Broome

2 CB's. Could Delcroix be one which could also be cover for Tymon

We are well served in wide areas..not sure the role of Bianchini though

Think we need 2 CM's to supplement Widdel and Franco. We don't know how Widdel will adapt and lose Franco to injury we are stuffed. Fulton is not th back up answer if we want to progress

Up top it's looking like Vip Cullen and Wales. Is that sufficient?

Struggling to see where Cooper fits
