Summer Transfer Window

Thing with VP is if we’re serious about challenging next season for a play off spot we need a proper goalscoring striker, can we gamble again and wait for VP to come good? I do like him though In glimpses, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him move on though.
It's a difficult one. I can see Wales being our main man. VP needs consistent game time but I feel Sheehan experimented alot wit wither Cullen or him as he wasn't getting a full tune out of both. The pre season will for me be the make or break for VP if he wants to be a starter.

Sheehan says we want to be competitive in the Championship he can only mean competing for the playoffs
Vip's got potential but he is not the CF to lead the line for a playoff team
Mind you, I don't think you could say that about many of the rest of the first team squad
And yet we finished well
I agree with this. I feel if we need to challenge for playoffs and yes there is alot to do that, we need a striker at their best. Wales is a unknown, Cullen is not striker, although he was our top scorer and VP really needs to step up in preseason. The defense will be key as well. With recruitment.

Vip needs pressing in his game..its Sheehan's playbook. He spends too much time in no man's land neither pressing or in the box enough from crosses. I suspect Wales will have that in his game..

If, as expected, Darling leaves, Jimmy Dunne of QPR is available on a free. Excellent season just gone, and although he's not the best in possession, his defensive stats are excellent. Trouble is he'll almost certainly get better offers elsewhere.

Would 100% take Mepham, might be expensive wage wise though. If I had to guess, our Darling replacement will be someone that we don’t really know much about, a bit like Franco.

Bournemouth are rumoured to have an option of an extra year. Sunderland very interested in Mepham also. Can't see it happening.

Darling gone according to forum. No new players in until players sold due to financial constraints

Sheffield Utd got to the playoff final and none of their squad scored more than eleven. Sunderland's top scorer managed 13. Piroe scored plenty for us in both his seasons here and we got nowhere near the top six.

A prolific striker is handy but not essential. What we need is five or six players coming close to double figures.

Imagine new player announcements will start happening on July 1st onwards. Darling will gone 1000%. And club is clearly now preparing for replacement.

Also it's been debunked the idea we won't buy until we sell. It been reported on Swans Independent that we will sell players but transfers are not based on sales. The July 1st will play a part in movement due to rules and contracts.

From Swansea Independent:

Swans trying to get two in before the turn of the month

Now going for a right sided or dual annotated defender, CB to replace Darling, a striker and chasing a loan. Been asked to keep my counsel for now. Not getting the flack for messing any of this up. I haven’t asked for any more details than that.

One is allegedly close ish.

Darling:

He has long gone. Replacement in progress with Santos as back up

Apparently it’s been said at the forum this evening that we have to shift some players as we are close to PSR limits. That’s the suggestion on Twitter anyway, nobody seems to have done any live updates from the forum this time.
