Summer Transfer Window

Bar Galbarith I'm really not convinced the window was as good as everyone was making out to be completely honest. If you look at our direct replacements for the players who left the squad has got worse again imo.
Darling>Burgess
Delcroix>Santos
Allen>Fulton
O'Brien>Widell
Inoussa complete unknown can't judge yet
Wales is a kid who won't play much.

This league looks 10x stronger then last seasons and I'm worried if we we don't pull our finger soon in the remaining 4 weeks we may be alot closer to a relegation battle then people seem to think we are.
That’s a bit dramatic. There’s no way to make any proper comparisons between the new signings after 3 friendlies. And the league is not 10x stronger, yes it’s probably slightly tougher. But the majority of teams we’ll face are the same teams we played last season. And they’ll all at some point have injury woes and depth issues because it’s a challenging league with tight finances. Every club bar a few rich ones are facing the same struggles Swansea have.

We've taken punts on Ronald, Franco Widdell Inoussa and Eom, hoping to sell on for a big number
On the basis of what we've seen so far ( Ron Franco and Eom ) that tactic has failed, though Franco might yet prove me wrong, but there's too much gone on "promising but unproven"
We are now looking flaky and in need of more experience
Why would you include Eom in that category? His performances after some bedding in and getting over an injury showed a real quality player, who looks a great buy for us! Strange comment.

Disagree I think alot of the classic mid/lower table table teams like QPR Norwich Watford Derby have got considerably stronger compared to last season and add to that that 2/3 newly promoted teams will splash more cash then we can dream of, this is shaping up to be the hardest season since we've been relegated. I seen on a podcast someone say in this division and this season specifically you have to run just to stand still and right now we haven't even started to walk.

Heading into the Tuesday before the first league game then, and we're still at least 3, probably 4 players short.

Don't get me wrong, we are not a club at the top of the food chain, far from it. So the market is difficult for us. I get that.

But, I'm sorry to say it, it still isn't good enough. I think it was Lisa who said earlier that once again we appear to be just writing off 9 points before the window shuts. We should be better prepared than this. One or two players short you can sort of accept, but 4? Sorry, it's poor. It's not giving Sheehan the best possible chance to succeed.

There's been plenty to like about the new ownership so far - there has been progress, but it's still not enough. They need to be better than this. I hope they're learning from this, their first summer window.
It's you that thinks we need 4 players. Personally I think 2, possibly a 3rd. We're being canny and I hope we get a foreign player in with more potential for the money. Patience will do it.
