Summer Transfer Window

Looking at Eom’s form at the end of last season I would want him to start also but I based it off of what I thought was most likely. Apparently Inoussa can play on the right so we could well see him move there and Eom starting on the left.
Our second half on Saturday was impacted by Inoussa on in place of Ronald. Give the lad a go, Ronald needs to up his game

It's not something I have really thought about up until a couple of seasons ago, people are spot on that points in the first few games are as important as the last few games....these early games seem to be wiped aside as still part of the building process!
In the real world where a club doesn't have to wait to sell players and move them off the monthly wage bill or we had a thriving Commercial / sponsorship department, or if we had owners prepared to fund all aspects at the club 12 months a year, but we havn't, and as much as it would be smashing to have a full squad, fully fit and had a great pre-season, but we havn't. Should we eventually have these quality signings then we can press on and hopefully show consistency, and how some can look at it in a different light mystifies me.

Fully understand and injuries don't help.
We have been dealt injuries this pre season more than we have had for a very good number of years plus slow in recruitment(whatever the reason)

We seem to be having a few issues in getting deals done, be it our or others faults.

At this stage of the season I think we have always had problems signing, just look at the dross we have signed since relegation.

We do seem to have more injuries per season than is traditional … maybe a question mark over training methods here ?

there was the same uptick in injuries during Duff's pre season--although he was droning on about fitness the whole time

If a League One side wishes to play hardball over valuing one of their players, then good for them; perhaps we should have done the same over the years.

Something is not right there, just look at Liam Walsh since he left us. Running around like a 2 year old Friday night for Luton, and in games last season when he wasn't sent off or suspended. He was almost permanently injured here.

Wasn’t Santos just an awkward landing? Can’t blame anyone for that. Same for Vipotnik hurting his toe, likely just a challenge on him in training or he’s hurt it striking the ball or something. Others could be a result of training intensity but I think it’s harsh to solely blame the coaches

Looks like some are just blaming Darren O'Dea... 🙄

Our start is statically the hardest in the opening 10 games in the entire division.

The Championship this season will be super difficult to call, there are no sides in the division that stand head and shoulders above everyone else like Burnley and Leeds last season, even the relegated sides are in various states of chaos.

The closest to that category would be Sheffield United and perhaps Leicester, but the former have had to let go of a number of their high earners after failing to go up last season and the latter are facing potentially TWO points deductions for consistently breaking EFL PSR rules.
Statistically difficult based on last season.
The Championship doesn't necessarily work like that.

Either have hardly done anything in the last few years
I was going to say the same. Brewster has scored 9 goals in 120 games since his season with us. If it wasn't for the memories of his loan here, we'd be laughing at a team signing a player like that and expecting him to be an important player for them.
