• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Being fair, he was highly rated a couple of years back and is still only 22.
We used to be good at picking up these type of players and putting them back on track, unfortunately that was with a previous regime both on and off the field.

Pace in this league terrifies teams - and to have extra pace off the bench against tiring teams is something we don’t really have.

We have certainly missed pace, even Placheta last season showed how the dynamics in a team can change with that outlet.....just turning the opposition when you are on the back foot just makes a huge difference.

We tried all summer for pace out wide, even tried for him then.

Well you can take Eom and Ginnelly out of the equation, because they have contributed the grand sum of zero .

That's my point. We're going after another slight winger who'll need months to get up to speed (if they ever will).

We should be looking at players that at least have experience of playing in the league now. We've got enough of these type signings for now.

Unfortunately even the older players already in this league will demand a decent fee and wage(Grimes for instance). Younger ones will also demand a good feeling for potential.

It's potential in league 1 and abroad we need to be looking.

Surely Sorba Thomas would be a better option for us right now?

And lost him to Oxford. Says it all really.

His injury record was a concern, you can understand why we didn't really push hard for that one but certainly can question why we didn't south eva replacement who had similar qualities with regards to pace.
