• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I am excited - first because I rate him as a player. He is in his prime and people better qualified than posters on here think he ihas the all around game to play in the 2 best leagues in the World.
But mostly I think his style is exactly what we need. Relentless closing down, a lot of movement and ability to link play, and a very decent finisher. Decently 2 footed, good in the air and a great first touch.
He will really provide the movement that will make our exciting midfield additions twice as dangerous.
Yes the championship is a difficult league, but it is easier to score goals there than in struggling teams in the Premier League and La Liga.
Of course the downside is he is not the right age for resale value - but without paying a fee, that is ok with me. Am really hoping that there is substance behind this rumour.

Hate the use of meh. Smacks of arrogance, we're not eating at the top table yet.
Not arrogance.
Like I said, just underwhelmed. Clear need for another striker has been obvious & what we (look like) end up going for is another returning player who had one decent season with us nearly 10 years ago.
If he does sign, I'll get right behind him & I hope he's successful.
But we're a different club form where we were previously and he's a different player who was ready to sign for Hull, not us, before they were embargoed.
Just not feeling the love for this that many others are.

Fair points, the Meh thing has always been a bone of contention for me, and always will. I don't "feel the love", as you call it, but as long as the contract is suitable for us, I could see the benefits he could bring for a couple of seasons. Having said that, it's not looking as likely to happen, looking at the vibes emanating around since this morning.

Yeah, looks like some people may have jumped the gun on this one.

It’s funny that all of this is likely coming from that Alan Nixon article, he’s sent people into a frenzy and we all know his record with us is spotty at best😂

So we assume he wasnt at Fairwood then?
Apparently nowhere near it and definitely not signing but all that could be wrong or change at any minute as he’s definitely in Fairwood and falling over himself in the rush to sign for us but we’re not interested and there’s loads of other clubs in for him, none of which want to sign him, because he’s signing for us until he goes to Hull because they’re not allowed to sign him before they do, or something like that.

I have no idea if this is true or not, but this is quite a thread title for something based on word of mouth/twitter chatter.

Perfectly summed up.
