• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

When you take everything out of the equation and get down to the basics the naming has been down to stadium local rugby contact and now stadium local football contact.

All dressed up in a "keeping it local" package ;)

Cynicism :D As I posted earlier in the thread. External sponsorship and then if local businesses wanted to 'help ' the club, they could have put the money in in other sponsorship ways.

How about calling it the next to B @ Q stadium , then they can have free paint to cover up the rust
Sorted

It's been painted already (I think). I'm sure I didn't notice the rust for the last friendly.

They could at least have given the bloody wall a lick of paint first!
Innit! Also where's the welsh version, not that I'm bothered but shouldn't there be one, maybe it's out of shot.
Those redundant screw holes are playing havoc with my OCD.🥴

Seriously who the f**k did that. At least when you change the name then do it properly rather than this shit effort!

That sign looks awful. In which year did the Libery sponsorship end?

Playing devils wotsit it here I don't think that is the finished article and if you're paying all that money you would would get something up there ASAP aswell we have got Sheff Utd at home our 1st game for about 18 months and SKY coming to town.

Not a great fan of MM or the name but he employs a lot of local people and puts Swansea on the map that along with Swansea University as our main sponsor has to be good for the city? Again I'm not a fan of MM or the name but that is modern football for you and in the grand scheme of things its still better than a betting company or the crispy pancake stadium.

Some Swans do fans seem to carry that Doug Sharpe Vetch Field mentality of "it was never like this before" the world does move on

I’ve been thinking, and, if I have to, I’m gonna call it the Swanscom Stadium. Swansea Dot Com Stadium sounds stupid to me.

Just keep calling it the Liberty that’s what most normal people will do.
