Swansea Scum

Anybody trying to put the case against BLM is immediately labelled ‘racist’, ‘idiot’ or worse. Not much nuanced thinking there. Look at the title to this thread - very enlightened. It’s a pity that some of these people are not better acquainted with one of the British BLM leaders - a lady called Sasha Johnson. They might have taken the knee themselves out of sheer admiration. In August Ms Johnson tweeted; “The white man will not be our equal but our slave”. I’m sure the FA, EFL and PL all wish Sasha all the best in her exciting project. The point is Ms Johnson’s views are not especially extreme in a foul organisation that wishes to dismantle capitalism and the family, and defund the police. Taking the knee signals support for that organisation not for racial equality. It’s like sticking out your right arm and shouting ‘Sieg Heil’ then claiming ‘it’s just a gesture. Nothing to do with old Adolf mate’. This is a letter a Milwall fan wrote to the Milwall board:

“ The whole BLM movement is insulting to many because it seeks to destroy our country’s values. I don’t mean nationalism or jingoism but the values that unite people across the political spectrum. A belief in the rule of law, free speech, respect for others and the social justice that many of our forebears had to fight for in the trade union movement.
Your excuse for supporting this movement is an insult to our intelligence and an overtly political statement. It’s particularly damaging at this time when so many fans are suffering financial hardship that you couldn’t even begin to understand. By supporting BLM you are not healing divisions but creating them. I fear that your actions will cause not just a division between players and fans but a gulf of betrayal that will never be bridged.
If you want to campaign against discrimination then please do so, but supporting BLM is the wrong way to do it.”

Excellent points very well made.

Yes, what happened to ‘Kick it out ‘ or ‘Say no to racism’ and other perfectly valid anti-racist pressure movements? The point can be made without associating with an odious bunch of reprobates like BLM.

Sasha Johnson is not a ‘British BLM leader’. The movement has no leadership. Political factions who attach themselves to the wider movement are just attaching themselves for personal gain. Sasha Johnson is an absolute moron in the same way as the people leading the protests outside the stadium are morons.
It’s been made completely clear on any number of occasions that the only reason for players taking the knee is to raise awareness of the racial inequality which is still pervasive in society. Therefore the only reason for a protest is if people disagree with them raising awareness of racial inequality.
In some ways I’d have more bloody respect if people just said ‘We don’t like it because we’re racist’. This nonsense about Marxism, or splinter BLM groups, or people like Sasha Johnson is utter crap.

"One black woman made some ill judged comments on twitter so now I guess I've got to disregard players concerns about racism in football and support literal white supremacist fascists."

If you don't want to support players taking a stand against racism then thats fine but maybe don't be such a whiny pussy when you cop flack for your actions. The people standing outside the stadium are racist scum. People are going to think you're on the side of racist scum when you start defending them. Don't like that? Well suck it up snowflake.

It's a copy and paste job from the other board. Obviously he's hoping we'll all call him a racist to prove his posts over there saying that's what happens when we disagree with people on this forum. Lisa's measured response to his post has rather torpedoed his efforts.

Perhaps we should be like Perch and accuse him of doing 'his master's dirty work to damage this forum' or whatever other nonsense he was accusing Rog of the other day.

Oh right, not surprised to see that nonsense coming over from planet stormfront. Tbh I'm gutted they've rumbled the fact that Andre Ayew is a secret marxist operative who's going to help soften the ground and make everyone compliant before we bring in white slavery. The plan was all going off without a hitch until the big brains in the stands at millwall caught on. I guess no-one will notice if we just call everyone who disagrees with us a racist and we will have white slavery back in no time. Don't tell anyone though.

I started my post : “Anybody trying to put the case against BLM is immediately labelled ‘racist’, ‘idiot’ or worse. Not much nuanced thinking there. Look at the title to this thread - “. I wasn’t far wrong was I?

Yes I did copy and paste it from another board (my own post that is) as it seemed an appropriate retort to some of the hateful crap being posted on here about a group of people holding a peaceful demonstration against the continuing practice of genuflecting to a disgusting rabble like BLM. Somebody posted on this thread ‘why didn’t the police move them on?’. Irony is obviously not his strong point. Er, they weren’t destroying any statues old pal. All they were doing is making a noise. If there had been crowds allowed in football grounds this taking the knee nonsense would have lasted about a week.

They're openly showing they're racist by wearing the logo of a known far-right group, that's why they're being called racist and scum. So yes, you were wrong. They're not being called racist just because they oppose BLM. They are clearly among the group that oppose BLM because they're racist and are hiding behind this 'Marxist organisation' nonsense that they clearly don't have the brainpower to understand.

So how would this 'taking the knee nonsense last about a week' if the fans were in the ground then?

The players take the knee for three seconds...

Three

Seconds

Do you think that’s to promote Marxism? Yes or no?

The protesters have long associations with groups and splinter groups such as EDL, Britain First, BNP, etc. That Dan Morgan is the one that organised the skinhead do in Castle Square that went sideways for him. Make no mistake about it they are 100% motivated by racism and fascism and if you think by pretending it’s about Marxism you get a pass you are mistaken.

Keep on defending it and you’ll keep on defending racists, so don’t complain about what you get labelled as.

Not taking sides, but it's 10 seconds.

 whatever, point being that these knuckle draggers feel the need to protest a few blokes kneeling for a few seconds.

Whatever. I agree, but you felt the need (the kneed?) to point out, very specifically, that it was three seconds. It's not.

Funny how these totally not racist protestors seem to attract a lot of racist, fascist fans. You only have to look at the comments on their youtube videos to see the creator liking comments from people talking about great replacement conspiracy theories and other neo nazi filth.

“ Keep on defending it and you’ll keep on defending racists, so don’t complain about what you get labelled as.”

This knee-bending has been encouraged from the top-down by the virtue-signalling idiots in the FA, PL and EFL. If there had been fans in the grounds it would not have got started. But when the public is absent, corporate wokeism faces no corrective action from the real world. You assume that anyone who objects to this sort of corporate wokeism is automatically a racist. All I’m doing is pointing out that although there are lots of fans like me who have nothing but admiration for our black players, nonetheless they dislike and resent seeing them paying homage to BLM. By all means demonstrate anti-racism sentiments, but that can be done through linking arms or other means, that are not inextricably linked to a genuinely odious organisation like Black Lives Matter. As far as not complaining about what I’m labelled as, you left off the important qualifier ‘on this board’. So you won’t hear me complain, as I’m not that bothered what you think 🥱

Hang on now, you've got a pre-approved set of alternative protests that you'd prefer? Link arms everyone so JackRabbit doesn't get triggered

What kind of statement against racism would it be if it wasn't upsetting racists? The people protesting down the stadium are literally wearing clothes with white supremacist insignia and their online content is littered with comments promoting neo-nazi conspiracy theories.

You resent them taking the knee? Don't be such a snowflake.
