The ‘Vítor Matos’ Managerial Thread

No announcement today might suggest work permit hasn’t cleared? Good chance O Dear is in charge Tuesday.
Might just be waiting for tomorrow morning to release a video interview and statement. Sunday evening is usually an odd time to announce anything, it’ll no doubt be released at the most effective time for social media engagement too.

That’s the problem.

We need to start thinking less like a media company and more like a football club.

Indy was reporting it was today. But looks like he is in Swansea with his coaches. On hind sight makes sense. As I imagine he is meeting everyone today and doing media interview for Swans TV. Imagine it will be announced tomorrow, which will allow him to train/prepare team for the game and not be distracted by other things. My opion anyways.

So is Indy the "go to outlet" for the nailed on info? Just curious as you are always quoting this site.

Just my opinion, I don't think this is dictating things. It's reported he arrived today, so it makes sense to do media interviews and then concentrate on the training and everything tomorrow. I understand your sentiment but as someone who does work in marketing, its all linked but won't dictate things.

I don’t mind them being savvy about that stuff to be honest, it has to come alongside good quality football decisions though and that’s where I think we’ve let ourselves down as of late.

Mate. Clearly you have some issue with them. Hence your response. I am not debating this with you or anyone. I personally like Keith and his reports and value his insight. And rarely do they get things wrong. Add a laugh emoji or whatever you want. But we all have our favourite sources and mine is that.

I was quoting our CEO.

He described us as a media company.

As a person in marketing, you’ll be aware that the single biggest factor in growing the profile of a football club is on field success.

I don’t mind it as long as we care more about on pitch stuff.

That interview with Gorringe was all about content and social media reach and sponsorship and nothing about the team being bloody awful. I realise that increased income helps us in the field but here’s a thought - increase income by being better.

Firstly, I'm no mate of yours, secondly I take issue with "And rarely get things wrong".
Can't see why you are always taking time to promote your mates site on the football forum on here when the "Indy reports" already has its on section on this site. Stop being so desperate is my advice mate. 😂
