The Covid Pass.

Very easy to circumvent, so what's the point, waste of time and money, yet again.

Followed the link in the email from the club, logged in and downloaded the pass to my iPhone, under the pass there is a notice which states ‘Valid in England’ ????

Brian Rix's trousers just fell down.

No one’s gonna check 15,000 people going into the Liberty. I agree with the principle but it’s completely impractical and unenforceable.

Just did mine and the wife over the phone in under 5 minutes. Simplicity itself. Just name, address, and d.o.b. So if you want it for the Cardiff game, apply now, because it could take up to 10 days to come through. Tel. no. for those interested is 0300 303 5667.

Queues at the turnstiles are bad enough as it is - can't see it being enforced but I've done mine just in case.

Exactly. That’s the whole point of laws like this. They know they’re practically unenforceable but enough people will sensibly do it just in case to make the whole thing worthwhile.

It’s clearly not practical at the Liberty. They did check at the Motorpoint a couple of weeks ago and stopped people going in if they hadn’t got a pass. They had lateral flow tests available at the door which people were having to do to get in.

I went to a gig in Birmingham a few weeks ago. Proof of vaccination or a negative LFT was supposed to be a condition of entry. No one checked.

They did check at Silverstone for the British GP but although there was a huge crowd (140K) spectators were arriving over a period of a few hours so it could be done.
As you say it won't work at the Liberty, too narrow a window.

I don't suppose they have to check everyone's do they?

They can do random checks and turn those away who can't produce it or evidence of a negative lateral flow test.

When I’ve used this for gigs the past couple of weeks, they literally glance at your screen and that’s it, I could have someone else’s information for all they know, out of the 4/5 times I’ve had to use it recently not once did they properly check it.

Its total bollox.
Firstly queues are beyond a joke at the turnstiles before this....will now be a nitemare.
Secondly, anyone who hasn't had a jab can still get in. Just get a false lateral flow test....easy done.
