The Covid Pass.

Here’s another funny wrinkle…

If you’ve been vaccinated outside of the UK you absolutely, positively cannot get an NHS Covid Pass.

Also, will this be enforced on players and staff?

As I’m headed your way next week on a long delayed bi-annual visit from the US, I’ve been working through the wide assortment of varied regulations etc.

It’s crazy to me that border entry requirements are recently being relaxed to encourage tourism, but at the very same moment the Welsh government is making some requirements more difficult.

For the record, I’ve been vaccinated for nearly 6 months and am happy to comply with whatever regulations are introduced. That said, if they are literally impossible to comply with, what then?

Seems my only recourse will be a COVID test before Cardiff , but as it stands now I have to have a day 2 test around then anyhow.

If you download the nhs covid pass app from the play store it only works in england so best to phone 0300 303 5667 for paper one then try sorting out online one in the future

It's still not 100% going ahead.
Also:"Users who want to show a negative test will have to self-certify their result - leading to concerns they could be faked.

To prevent this, the Welsh government plans to make it illegal to fake a negative test."

The vote is today.

That should work as you used the website to get your QR code. It’s what I have done and worked when I went to a gig a couple of weeks ago. Keep an eye on the expiry date though - every time you log in you get a new QR code lasting a month.

This is all very nice, but what exactly is the point of it?

I suppose the powers that be are hoping it will encourage a large percentage of people to stick to the rules and limit any potential spread. Given how few people can seem to be bothered to even wear a mask indoors at this point, I'm not confident it will work unless everywhere enforces it, which we've already seen isn't going to happen.

Well personally I hope people aren't compliant. There's nothing more permanent than a temporary government scheme. If enough people are compliant then the next stage over Xmas will go ahead and get rolled out to bars, restaurants, public transport, workplaces etc.

Shame really, I used to enjoy crowded events like football.

The vote went through by one vote and one MS who was going to vote against it was locked out on Zoom.
Stinks.

So you are talking bobbins...again.

"Millar could be heard telling Presiding Officer Elin Jones: "I'm sorry we still have a member who is desperately trying to get into Zoom."

Elin Jones told Mr Millar: "We are holding the vote please. And we have made every opportunity possible for that named member to get in, including sharing my personal phone."
