• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I know the fierce rivalry colours our view sometimes, but for the ordinary decent Cardiff fan, this collapse of the club is undeserved.
More clubs will go out of business soon.
The money men who want the Super League will have their way

I’m quite friendly with a few very decent Cardiff City fans and I can assure you that if the boot was on the other foot they would be taking the piss.
I shall not lose any sleep if they plunged down the leagues.

I said to Prosser on Twitter earlier, they are heading to a very dark place.

Here's hoping. Their massive stadium will look great with 8,000 people rattling around in it for a League Two game.

Overestimating their fickle fan base there Winston. Late 80s saw averages below 3k. Most of those their valleys support. Could easily see crowds around 5k

Maybe, although I suspect both our hardcore supports have grown since then. Wasn't all that long ago that we'd have been pleased with a crowd of 4,000 plus for a league game. Football crowds in general tanked a bit in the 80's.

As it happens I tend to believe that our hardcore could well be bigger than theirs now. Seven successful (some more so than others) seasons in the PL got a lot of the younger generation of the time addicted to the Swans when they might have drifted off to become plastics.

I struggle to see how they get out of this mess this season.

Moore has recently changed agent and is demanding a move. You just need to see his body language… he doesn’t want to be there. 1 goal all season?

There’s no talent in that squad whatsoever - potentially Colwill could develop into a decent player, but not there. He’s a Swans fan too.

I've mellowed with age, but not where they are concerned.
More than happy to see em down the poke. But they may have the biggest n nicest concourses in league 1 soon.
The scramble to get tickets for the return at Legoland will be quite something I think.

yep, theyre awful. They wank over Giles and he wouldnt even play over bidwell.

They may be lucky that Hull, Barnsley and Posh are shite, and Derby with their points reduction

Reading are staring down the barrel of a points deduction too.

Whoah there, Eteb. We're playing the Posh on Saturday. They're only 3 points below us and yesterday beat QPR so we'll soon find out if they're 'shite' or not. Maybe we should throw the match, to put more pressure on Cardiff? Thought not.
