• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Control+F 'Fisher' on this post, and it's genuinely unbelievable

What a surprise that another useless player to join Vipotnik, Bianchini, Tymon etc being dragged over the coals when actually it's been the way they've been managed.

Playing in goal in a Russell Martin team behind Nathan Wood and being expected to sweep up would have caused most palpitations.

Another date for the diary, Sunday 6th April, St Johnston v Celtic, looking likely that the Tic could clinch the SPL title that day 🍀💚

He's not a great keeper by any stretch but yes, he's clearly better than the way Russy's defensive "coaching" hung him out to dry as.

Not sure on that mate, he couldn't catch a cold so that's nothing to do with style of play.

The Cardiff away game still haunts me when he let that shot through his fingers.
That could have easily lost us the game

Very true but still think some of the criticism has been harsh mate

Shocking the abuse he used to get for Martins style of play that put him under huge pressure, glad to see him getting game time and being liked by the supporters, hopefully he’ll get a permanent move in the summer.

Obviously a different standard of competition, but nice to see Fisher getting some praise from a fanbase. He wasn't great here, but the toxicity around him towards the end was absolutely farcical. Bloke played one game in two seasons, and was still routinely being trounced on social media.

St Johnstone seem to rate him a lot, in the match thread for the Dundee game, there's a comment saying 'Fisher's been brilliant again thus far', and another from someone saying 'wish we had from game one'.

Even if we get rid at the end of the season, it's great for both parties that this loan has gone well.
It’s possible he wasn’t great here because of what he was asked to do, rather than ability

Has he stopped fumbling the ball? His foot work was good, but it was like he had butter in his hands if any low shots came in, when he was with us.
Haven't seen a great deal of him in action but I have an interest for the SPL, he's doing well by the looks of it. High profile game for him tomorrow with plenty of work coming his way most probably. Give it a look 👍

You'll have to let us know he gets on. For me he has alot of work in order to show he can step up. Not seen him play since he was with us.

He's better than Jon McLaughlin as a backup to Vigouroux, in all my years of supporting the Swans, McLaughlin is the biggest waste of a wage than anyone else imho
