Of course it is an achievement. Seasons doesn’t matter, he was a teenager just breaking into the Norwich side and also injured.

It’s minutes on the pitch that matters and he has a better championship record than Vipotnik over a similar amount. I would say why are you pretending the opposite?

Right so if im wrong, goals per minute matter more than actual sustained form, why is Matos not playing him? Why isnt he being linked to Premier league teams? It means nothing.

Because he’s injured and Vipotnik was on the form of his life when he arrived and continued that until this month.

And he wasn't playing before he got injured and showed little when he did. He isnt got enough to get in the team. And we shouldn't be paying anywhere near 7million for squad players.

Means nothing, if he repeats his current goals per minute rate over the rest of season he'll end up on around 6? What's that a million for every goal we paid?
It would make a little more sense (this post I mean rather than your genuinely strange dislike of Idah) if we’d signed him for one season.

We don’t pay the transfer fee all over again every year.

Well said, Lisa.

I was going to say something similar and didn't have the energy to engage.

We've signed the lad for five years not months.

Because Vipotnik was in the form of his life, when he did get the chance he’s contributed to goals more than any player in our team.

I don’t believe we have paid anywhere near 7 million and he’s signed a long contract so don’t believe he will be a squad player either once Vipotnik is sold.

He was playing. He’d begun to start quite a few games.

Anyway, the main reason this conversation started was you saying Wales was as good as him.

Wales looked yesterday (and every other time he’s played), exactly what he is - a very promising youngster from our under 21s who isn’t as yet at the standard needed for the championship but who we all hope will develop.

We have long had a fan base that values ‘enthusiasm’ and frequently mistakes it for quality.

God knows how they’d have coped with Messi.

Its sad that as a fanbase our standards have slipped so much. Is probably the last thing worth saying on the matter.

May as well put this in seeing goals per minute is apparently so instrumental:

Adam Idah for us in the Championship: goal every 171 minutes.
Courtney Baker-Richardson for us in the Championship: goal every 150 minutes.

Dont remember us signing him for a reported 7million though.

I've bumped the Adam Idah thread for you 👍🏼

Only you appear to be reporting we signed him for that, even your site says £5.99m, how much of that was based on hitting certain targets?

Courtney Baker Richardson didn’t play over 3000+ championship minutes.
