Quite a lot of Celtic fans were sorry to see him go, Celtic payed over the odds for him but he had a more than useful goal return in the SPFL.
He always looked more than capable when I watched him play for Celtic. The lad has pace, bit of a handful and makes space for other payers.

But you don’t know the details of the signing surely to God?

He may be £1m + £5m if he scores 50 and we get promoted. Judging a player on a fantasy fee I have always found strange.

As the other poster showed, he’s literally done more to contribute to goals per minute on the pitch than any of our players.

But you're now making up completely unrealistic terms that Celtic wouldn't accept?

I was just giving an example. £3m + £3m after 50 goals and promotion then. Whatever it is, my point is you have no idea how much was paid or what Celtic would accept. Using the site mentioned in this thread, it looks like Vipotnik has a similar goal return as him across a similar amount of minutes at Norwich and Swansea and I’m sure we will want 10m+ for Vipotnik.

Including clauses or was that the base fee?
Not sure about the ins and outs, Celtic signed AI on loan in the January when Kyogo picked up a nasty shoulder injury without nailing down a "view to singing" clause. Then as nearly always happens he started scoring and assisting for fun. Celtic were desperate to sign him in the Summer and Norwich knew it. Basically Celtic paid over the odds to bring him back, they had offers of 7, 8 and 9 million knocked back. Seven million would have been about right imho.

I'd like to see him get a good run of full games when he's back. I hope the bad hamstring tear (it must be) doesn't kill his pace, or make him fearful to use it. I can say from a minor tear, once you've felt that, you don't go flat out for some time (I'm at 6 weeks and still won't go over half my all out sprint - that's a laugh in itself - speed).

This all adds to the intrigue of how we structured the deal for him.

I know, an irrelevant example. It could be more than 7million going by your theory, all up front. We can all make up scenarios. Im basing it on the most popular consensus. And even if its a bit less, he still needs to do better.

Right so would the swans want 10m+ for Idah or is this another worthless scenario?

You've got to impress enough to get minutes on tbe pitch. Idah hasn't.

Give it a rest.

It was pretty well known that Idah wanted to stay at Celtic Park too, perhaps he was about to hit an appearance clause and the board got itchy feet? Anyway, I'm glad he's our player now and I'm confident he'll come good given a run of games.

Only as relevant as you saying £7m, that’s my whole point. You don’t know, and I don’t know. Basing your view on something you admit to not knowing is cuckoo mun.

I have no scooby-doo how much the Swans will want for Idah or Vipotnik, but I do know they have very similar Championship records and I’m certain fans will be disappointed if we sell Vipotnik for less than £6-7m and slate the club for selling him cheap.
