What we're also going to have to get used to after a generation of dominance of it from our perspective is them dominating national team squads. Colwill (x2), Ashford, Kpakio, Lawlor, Davies, King and others as well ones who've been at their academy like Biancheri / Crew could be in the Wales squad for the next decade, while we could be in a for a fairly barren period.
Yep, none of them anywhere near the quality of what we produced mind.

Got to remember mind that they're now in a league where they'd expect to dominate. They were all useless last year in the champ.

I could see colwill snr getting a move to a Blackburn type side. They're a funny bunch tho, they all wanted him sold
For nothing last season

Kpakio I'd say is certainly going onto big things

We scored more than 4 against Plymouth. We scored 6, of which 5 of them were penalties.

I listened to a big chunk of the game while stuck in traffic, they’re doing very well at the moment especially when the age of the team s taken in to account. It’s at a lower level, but if they carry on like this they’ll have a good season.

More importantly, Swans had a good win today and are hovering just outside the play offs. Great stuff.

Be an interesting watch seeing the other severn side derby today and a Lloyd v Cotterill duel if both play. Not a great start again for the port this season.

I know you can only play whats in front of you, but they have had an easy start.

Peterborough 24th (Bottom)
Port Vale 23rd
Rotherham 19th
Wimbledon 12th
Luton 7th
Plymouth 21st.

Luton is the only tough game in the division they've had so far and they did well and won that one. Wait and see once they have had a tough run. Winning breeds confidence though, so the start should assist them. Looking like a play-off place is well within their reach, auto's depends on how they perform against top end rivals.
They are doing well so far. I watched a lot of their match v Port Vale and Port Vale were robbed by some poor officiating. There was at least one clear Vale goal disallowed wrongly for offside. They seem to have got a tidy coach now and a reset in a lower league is sometimes a slight blessing in disguise? The likes of Sunderland, Ipswich, Birmingham, etc have all experienced League One recently and gone on to come back stronger.

I would be annoyed today if I was a Cardiff fan. One of the perks of playing lower league football in League One is the fact that international breaks don’t normally affect you and you still play matches. However, their match is postponed because of international call ups.

It happened quite regularly to us last time we were in League 1 didn't it? I'm trying to remember who would have been called up in those days. So far I have:

Ricketts
Tudur Jones
Lawrence
Scotland
Possibly Ash, but I'm not sure if he made his debut while we were still in League 1 or not.

And there's plenty of others who continued on their journey down to the National League.

Luton would be a team similar to those but in Luton's case they kept going and spent 5 years in the National League 2009 to 2014

Newport will be in the National League next season

They having nothing to offer anywhere on the field and an extremely poor keeper

Swansea City 🦢v Hull City 🐯
