The Media Coverage on Wrexham

Bizarre,utterly bizarre.

So ott it’s pitiful

I get it, but, perhaps it’s just me, but we didn’t seem to have the same fanfare for our promotion to the prem, and I don’t wish Wrexham any ill feeling, and I get the Hollywood hype, but it is literally promotion from the conference to league 2, so yeah as much as I don’t mind personally, it is everywhere you look, but It’s probably as they’re the in thing at the moment due to the Disney angle.

Disagree - it's a major achievement after 15 years out of the football league.

Tuesday, it will quieten down and will bring different news stories.

If they had two hedge fund yanks as owners it wouldn’t be mentioned.

We were media darlings for a good few years when we got to the prem, let's not forget that. Globally too.

Let them have their 5 minutes of fun. Will be interesting how they handle league 2 or even league 1. Not easy to do what we did back then.

Yeah I agree there, if they “just got promoted” which is a good achievement no matter what, but with no pomp, and faceless owners, there’d be hardly any mentions, it’s definitely the pull of the stardom and the fairytale they’ve built, I wish um well, I know you’ll say “f’k um” 😂 and to be honest you’re not wrong as they don’t give 2 shiny sheets about us let’s be fair, but the real test now is next season as league 2 will be difficult, if they pass that test then best of luck.

They have a good squad, keep Mullins and they will win promotion next year.

Media coverage is reflective of first world interests.

Truly heroic story line.

Show cases influential leaders with emotional inellugence managing change and success in a short space of time.

I'm sure other football clubs have jealous, angsty fans as well, but fuck me sideways

Well you’ve just hit upon the difference. They haven’t. Their owners are one of the world’s most famous film actors and his slightly less famous mate. So the coverage is inevitable. Good luck to them.

The only ones who have reason to be cross with it all are Notts County, and probably Chester.

A story about a team that thinks it should be massive but has just lost to Rotherham would be nice.

This is a feel good story in every way, and good luck to them. It's very much helping the town and the Americans seem to be genuinely nice people so I don't see how anyone can be unhappy about this (maybe Notts County fans I suppose but in the words of Darren ....).

Even when they are in league one they'll be claiming the same. Biggest ground in the league...sleeping giant....get promotion then it'll be PL next.
The cvnts will never learn.
