• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Well you’ve just hit upon the difference. They haven’t. Their owners are one of the world’s most famous film actors and his slightly less famous mate. So the coverage is inevitable. Good luck to them.

Exactly. Plus that documentary has done well over here, but is apparently wildly successful in the US. So any media coverage gets more clicks and eyeballs on it, so of course there's going to be a lot of it.

It's been pointed out many times, but jealousy is a strong emotion after all...

How the f*ck can we be jealous of where Wrexham have been over the last few years to where we have been?
Inherent bollox.

I’m not wound up I don’t like them and I don’t get the love-in.
As I’ve said in another thread I’ve been there to see us six times and they f*cking hate us.

Six times in the last century though. It's 2023, not 1988

Thought the news coverage was a bit much last night, BBC, ITV and S4C all reporting live from the ground but I did have a little chuckle knowing how much it would pee some people off on here.

Chelsea and Man Utd pre-season friendlies coming up in the USA, they've got their media profile spot on. Wait til you see who their shirt sponsors are for next season, it isn't a foreign betting company nobody has heard of.

I think it's great that we have 4 Welsh teams in the leagues again, just hoping that Newton's third law of motion is in effect for this season.

Just because a club is Welsh doesn't mean everyone on here should fawn over Wrexham (or any other club).

Personally, I don't love or particularly dislike the gogs, I just couldn't give a fuk about them, Celtic on the other hand...

It's all about opinions aye 👍
