• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

We've historically struggled to pull in decent crowds for Wales friendlies at the Liberty so that's pretty decent going - we had around 12k for the two qualifiers we played here against Croatia & Switzerland so great progress to be getting more than that!

BBC Wales mentioned 14K tickets had been sold on tonight's evening news.
Perhaps FAW should have arranged games here more often, given the City more of the good nights and tried to embrace this, the other part of Welsh football public, more closely
Just a thought.

They definitely should, but unfortunately the ground is too small. Even nations league games pull in 30k now. Plus there's something like 20k campaign/ season ticket holders so it is difficult to take games elsewhere now, although not insurmountable.

Agreed on all counts and with promotion to Nations League A the 3 games next Autumn will need to be in the largest stadium.

All friendlies should be in either Wrexham or Swansea though!

The qualifiers for Euro 2028 present an opportunity, as we’re very likely to qualify as hosts anyway. There’s an issue with the campaign tickets but an argument for pausing them for one tournament only and having one qualifier in Wrexham & Swansea to drum up interest before trying to get as many Welsh fans as possible into a 72k stadium for the tournament proper.

Well they could sell the campaign tickets but charge for 1 less game, then take that game to the Swan.com / racecourse when renovated. Tickets then go by points like they do for away games. Then offered to campaign holders etc.

Looking like they will need a bigger boat, I mean it looks like they will need to open up some more blocks soon. I think the only section of the North Stand that has been opened so far is NU4 for the Canadian Bacons.
