Saw granny Drakeford there, still can't find a suit that fits him.

We watched with the sound off, and had Mute on the screen for the whole time. 😉

The sight of Tony Blair and Rees Mogg made me reach for the off button.

If we didn’t have a monarchy someone like these two would be head of state. Personally I would tone it down to similar to Sweden as head of state rather than completely abolish the monarchy and end up with a politician as head of state.

Chop all their fucking heads of and be done with it!!!

When she died, I did wonder if a lot of the UK's royal passion was because of the persona of the individual queen herself rather than a deeply held belief that we should have a monarchy and now that it's Charles who is the head honcho, it's quite possible that the fanaticism will wane. I've never had anything against QE2 herself as she's always conducted herself impeccably but on the other hand, I've never seen the need for a monarchy in this day and age and I believe it's only a reluctance to let centuries old traditions die that keeps them on a pedestal. I was talking to my 24yo son about it and nobody he knows within his +/- age group has ever had any interest whatsoever in the Royal family either for or against which does suggest to me that it's an anachronism. I honestly can't see Charles ever being held in the same esteem as QE2 as for most of the last 30+ years he's been seen as a bit of a comedy figure and a bit of a crank.

We have another 10 days of this.

But on the positive side, I've never watched Peaky Blinders but think that I may be about to binge watch it.
