Galbraith had done a decent job filling in there but isn’t good enough there to make it his position. He’ll be back where he belongs in the middle of the park next year. Bookmark this.

Im noticing that alot of teams are targeting Galbraith more and more and he is being found out a bit. I understand he has attributes to play in that position and Matos had to do something because of Key leaking goals. But I do think we have to start to do something. It's a shame Ward doesn't have the legs. We have been screaming out for a RB for a while and with Naughton gone it didn't help.
He looked lost at certain points in the first half yesterday, just doesn't have the positional sense to be a right back at this level, often leaves his position in search of the ball.

With his ability with the ball at his feet I don't blame him, he's too good to be wasted playing at full back.

Good discussions going on.
Regarding Stamenic, appears that he has played CM midfield prior to us a number of times.

How about

Galbraith

Stamenic-Franco

Options with Fulton,Widell and Walta also.

I think the debate is open enough here to suggest that a RB is high priority in the summer.
You could also argue that selling Galbraith for a good fee might be beneficial given our MF strength this allowing to strengthen at RB and other areas.

Got caught out for their goal.

If that’s what the manager and club feel then I’d definitely be looking to cash in over the summer if a 7 figure offer comes in.

Personally, I think people are too hung up these days on if players are a 6, 8 or 10 - the key for me is how the 3 midfielders compliment one another and their link up with the rest of the side.

*should be 8 figure!!
*Should be 'complement' too :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I thought Galbraith had an absolute shocker yesterday and right back.

He’s getting done time and time again at the moment.

Thought key did really well when coming on and added so much more balance to the team

It’s nothing to do with positional sense, it’s what he’s being asked to do. It’s the Trent role which is essentially to be a RB that acts as another midfielder. Straight out of the Klopp playbook. He’s one of the few players in the championship that could do it.

It’s defensively risky when there is a quick turnover of possession but the offshoot of that is you get an extra ball player in the middle and have more control, which is why we have a such a good record with him at RB vs CM.

I think we have won 1 out of his last 9 when he starts in CM.

If Key was right back for the goal Preston scored last night, he'd be getting pelters on here.

Good to see him get some decent minutes when he came on. I hope he can kick on from here.

You’re forgetting that 10 other players were on the pitch as well.

21…

Got to love the way meaningless stats are used to ‘prove’ points. If Galbraith plays central midfield against Coventry away and we lose, and right back against Sheffield Wednesday at home and we win, that proves he’s better played at right back.

I blame Yanks (in general, for everything).

Tymon will be disappointed he didn't beat the attacking player to put the ball out for a corner .

My opinion is the team is stronger with
Galbraith at right back .
The midfield appear to work better with
Stamenic & Franco .
Matos looks as if he thinks the same .
He can make changes without major disruption.
