• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I think Avocados, anxiety and peanut allergies were invented the same time as the mobile phone

Salt and pepper with a dash of chilli jam transforms Avacado from inedible (like a piece of green Palmolive soap) into heavenly deliciousness.

Richi Sunak has taken a leaf out of the Boris Johnson playbook today. When things are looking shyte back in the UK (which they are all the time under the Tories), just feck off to Kyiv for a couple of days and parade around like a poundshop Churchill. Feckin pathetic, and wearing out fast.

Drivers of manual cars who leave the car in neutral with only the handbrake applied on a hill, without the wheels turned in to the kerb.

I went out for a walk with the dogs and thought I’d be an inquisitive git so I looked into 10 manual cars parked on a hill and six of those were in neutral without wheels turned in.

That's definitely old man behaviour that, putting it in gear and turning the wheel i mean. Not peeping into other people's cars, that's something completely different :o

If you get a notification to upgrade your phone 'to improve it', do not believe them without some proof. I'm suffering and am annoyed. :)

Did anyone enjoy "Ghosts" on BBC which is about to start its fifth and last series? If so, then do give "Ghosts US" on BBC iPlayer a try because it's just as good and may be better. The difference is that the UK series has 5 episodes and the US series has 18?!

I've just come across this report by Jay Rayner in the Guardian full of praise for a Chinese Restaurant in the Maritime Quarter of Swansea. Has anyone been there and is it any good?

I’ve been there and the food was outstanding. The restaurant itself was a mess though with overgrown plants and boxes of stuff everywhere.

Never been there, but the reviews on Trip Advisor seem pretty favourable, although there does seem a few customers on recent visits weren't happy.

I would hope it's nice there, just looking at the menu, they want £4.68 for prawn crackers.

Don’t pay much attention to TI, Turtle Bay was in the top ten last time I looked.
