Nice. Where were the Orcas ?
We went last September to see the volcano, arrived a week after it stopped erupting. Flights were £63 each return, covid test was £70.
Did the south coast as far as Jökulsárlón for the glacier trip and ice cave then the golden circle and Snaefellsnes peninsula. She wants to go back again in September to do the full country tour but the prices are a lot dearer this year.

The whale watch trip went from Dalvik which is right up in the north. I stayed in Akureyri which is about a 5 hour drive from Keflavik or 7 hours if you keep stopping to take photographs but I like driving through strange places. Didn't see the lights as it was about -8C by the time it was dark enough and I didn't fancy that. Will definitely go again though and do the south side probably on an organised trip to see the lights, geysers, etc. I did climb up this extinct volcano though, which was fantastic! :D :D :D :D :D

A few days ago, I was planning another trip to Iceland just for a few days during November before the WC in Qatar starts. I was quite flexible on dates but unfortunately, most of the Bristol>Keflavik flights are already sold out FFS! Gutted. Earliest I can get is 4th Dec but not sure what the weather will be like in December. Did you get your planned September trip sorted?
