• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Org leadership that pick the stupidest of hills to die on and outsource the dying part to you.

We’ve got weeks of this wet weather ahead of us if the simulations are anything to go by. Almost zero probability of a cold but bright snap anywhere on the horizon.
That's cheered me up no end, thanks Coops😂👍

I did the Meteorology module for my Geography degree 50 years ago.
I was partial to a bit of amateur gynaecology in those days.
That explains why you like the word moist.

No doubt there's a rational explanation for this, so full yer boots, boffins.

Paint charts. You wander around B&Q, pondering what colour to paint your hall. Having decided on a colour you pick up a sample pot (for a bargain five quid), then slap it on your hall wall only to find it's about 37 shades darker than it appears on the paint chart.

WTF?

The light bulb is everything here. Paint colours vary significantly under different lights (white, soft, warm). Have a mess about with a different bulb.

This reminds me of the days when I would do my own decorating. I worked flat out on hall, stairs and landing and my wife came home from work and said she didn’t like it. Three months of nagging later, it was gone and a new colour was on the walls. I retired my brushes on the back of this debacle.
