• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

No doubt there's a rational explanation for this, so full yer boots, boffins.

Paint charts. You wander around B&Q, pondering what colour to paint your hall. Having decided on a colour you pick up a sample pot (for a bargain five quid), then slap it on your hall wall only to find it's about 37 shades darker than it appears on the paint chart.

WTF?
Some paint companies have an app that lets you take a photograph of your room on your device and then put any colour paint on your walls. It's not perfect but we found it very useful.

Ooh. Game changer. Googling this. Cheers.

The light bulb is everything here. Paint colours vary significantly under different lights (white, soft, warm). Have a mess about with a different bulb.

This reminds me of the days when I would do my own decorating. I worked flat out on hall, stairs and landing and my wife came home from work and said she didn’t like it. Three months of nagging later, it was gone and a new colour was on the walls. I retired my brushes on the back of this debacle.
Is your wife painting the hall, etc now? 😉

I was in a church in Neath just now watching my youngest grandson’s class singing and two male parents sat through the whole service wearing baseball caps and it really irritated me.
Tickets for Alan Carr on sale tomorrow for May 2027. Wtf is that all about, it's 18 months away ffs.

The longer they're on sale, the more likely people will book them by mistake or when they're drunk? I can't imagine people paying money to see Alan Carr in any other circumstances.

Also customers money sitting in either ticket selling agents or Alan Carr bank account earning interest. It's not right, not for that far in advance.

Emails from Netflix asking "What did you think of series <whatever>?". If it was shit I click the thumbs-down and it takes me into the episode guide where I can watch further episodes. That makes zero sense.

People who put super before words, I'm super excited, super amazing etc, bloody wazzocks

The Americanization of our words and sayings does my fecking head in.

Contestants on every show needing to have a “sob story” or need to show some sort of virtue signalling.
