When I occasionally peruse threads elsewhere, Dimi seems to be one of the more sensible ones on there these days. Make of that what you will.
Haha sooo funny...

Did he ever offer to fill you in via PM?

Sensible you say.

Fackin fruitcake he is 😂

It was more a comment on how downhill things have gone when Dimi is not the biggest problem/troll on a forum.

Aye could go any way.

Anyways...

Another season when we have finished top dogs in Wales again.

If I'm being honest, most of my life, us Jacks have been getting the upper hand over you.

How many of the last 50 odd years have you finished above us?
I'd say, maybe 1in 8? Maybe less 🤔

Come on swanny you are be mischievous aren’t you? before your rise in 2010 I think we finished above you for 9 or 10 seasons in a row for starters....
No doubt most of the 70’s aswell, after your plummet in the 80’s? 90’s were shite too. Be good to work it out over the last 50, reckon it’s close like 27/23 or something...
Who finished higher last season? I really can’t recall....

40 year olds have seen the Swans in the top flight for just under a quarter of their lives compared to Cardiff's two seasons. A stat that means a bit more than, for example, Cardiff finishing in 22nd above us in 24th as we were both relegated from division three back in 1985-86.

For the 50 years between 1970 to 2020, Cardiff unfortunately score higher than us, based on the fact that they have spent more years in the top two divisions.

Tier 1 Us 9, them 2
Tier 2 Us 7, them 28
Tier 3 Us 18, them 10
Tier 4 Us 16, them 10

I looked at this century and found them ahead on this too, we'd need a few years in a higher division to get ahead.

Tier 1 Us 7, them 2
Tier 2 Us 4, them 14
Tier 3 Us 4, them 3
Tier 4 Us 5, them 1

I’m sure this is our 6th season in the Championship in recent times. It’s our third since relegation and we had three season on our way up.

This season wasn't included, I'm waiting for the Premier League to complete before updating to 2021.

What are we arguing about exactly? Other than a few years in the sunlit uplands (ours more recent than theirs), both are eminently relatively unsuccessful and lacking significance in the great football pyramid. Two smallish/middling clubs with results that you expect from two smallish/middling clubs scuffing around in the lower leagues rather than the top table, battling for Welsh Cups. Admit it or not, we have far more in common as clubs than differentiates us. Maybe the main difference is that we accept and understand our position, whereas they are totally off their plums on the Kool Aid about theirs. I thought our promotion and consolidation in 2011-13 would give us the upper hand forever because they would never make it and we had moved beyond anything they could ever get close to in terms of club structure, and on the field. The latter was true, but the wheel always turns. We should all know that by now. One thing is for sure, we'll both be damn lucky to ever see the sort of success that both have seen in the past again.

So, 30 seasons in the top two divisions compared to your 16 eh? :D
I rest my lovely case.
Conveniently just missing the 60’s which we spent most of in the top division, just saying.
Didn’t know you had spent so much time in division 4 either.

As much as I might find the stats since 2000 amusing, I don’t think we can say we have been more successful? I think 7 seasons in the PL is better than 14 in the championship. We’ve only had 4 in the lower two, you had 9 which might be an eye opener for some of your newer Liberty stadium fans

Difference is dickhead, most of our fans are still alive to remember our success.
Your most successful recent accomplishments were running at families down the Kingsway in the 80s. Thought I'd mention that before you chime up.
