Tomas the Tank

Nuno looked a good fit for them and look how that turned out.
He's now rebuilt his career at Forest.
Certain managers suit certain clubs.
Was Brentford Frank's club?
The only way Spurs can be any worse is if they go down.
I would argue Nuno was a poor fit for Spurs, his football is nothing like what Spurs fans expect/want. He was on a hiding to nothing unless he won the league which was realistically never going to happen. Could be the same with Frank, although he seems more adaptable as a coach.

It wasn't concussion - he'd suffered a ruptured intestine!!

Ahhh yes I remember the specifics now. It was obvious from the stands that he wasn't right and I would hope that it was also obvious from the sidelines too, though why the medical staff or Nuno himself didn't see that is anyone's guess.

Yeah, I think you're right, but I think he was still out of order with his attitude, Nuno looked shocked and he had probably just gone off what the physio's had told him I expect, that said the physio might have been looking for another job after that.
At the end of the day he shouldn't have charged onto the pitch raging at Nuno, behind the scenes fair enough, but he humiliated Nuno in front of thousands of fans in my opinion.
If he had gone pitchside to rail against him for tactics, team selection or to basically subvert his authority then I would 100% agree with you. I would say though that for a player to see that the chairman and owner of your club would confront your boss no matter how many people are watching to voice concerns for your personal safety would speak volumes and many players would see that as a positive and a reason to join the club.

I do agree though that its highly likely that the medical staff would be looking for new work after that debacle.

In my opinion the chairman did the right thing when it looked like the medical staff and pitch side staff had failed to safeguard a player. The press at first portrayed it as the owner meddling with the manager's authority but they all quickly changed their tune when the details came out.

Fair points there bakajack (y)

Didn't he appear on the pitch to talk to Nuno to express concern that their player was still on the pitch with a very obvious concussion that the medical staff and the people pitch side either missed or disregarded?
A cynical person may believe that this was the spin that the club came up with after the fact...

While it is certainly possible Nuno has always struck me as a manager who stands by his principles and doesn't tolerate them being crossed. If it was just spin then he would have left the club already this summer in my opinion.

I could also just be naive and gullible believing what the papers tell me mind you :)

If the chairman was that concerned about the player's welfare that wouldn't have manifested itself as a meltdown, but rather as concern. There is no spin that would convince me that this is anything other than a totally unacceptable intervention.

Williams ranting after 20 minutes of the home game against Portsmouth (with the game at nil nil and us having created 6 chances to Portsmouth's none) was a similarly counterproductive thing to do. The start of the end for Williams in my opinion.

Only the Forest owner and Nuno know the truth of it and I wouldn't expect either to spill the beans for years if ever.

Very good manager; his biggest problem next season will be trying to turn Spurs' league form around with the circus of the Champions League going on around him. Either way, a comfortable top-ten finish.

The bug eyed freak will completely unravel at Spurs. I’m a perfect world Ange would wind up at Brentford and they both go down.
