After having conversations with several posters over the last few months it became my mission to search out old Dav after he,well disappeared from Planetswans after being such a prolific poster.
I discovered someone online who put me in touch with his daughter Jill and we have been conversing and I’m sorry to say it’s bad news.
Tony sadly passed away on Boxing Day 2021 in Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania at the age of 85.

Sleep tight my old pal. ❤️

That’s very sad news. Tony and I became quite good friends for a while back in the day and regular email “pen pals”. He sent me a fair few books and DVDs that he knew would be of interest to me. A few of us from PS met with him for food last time he was in Swansea. Tony and I didn’t agree on much but I valued our conversations and exchanges of views which were always respectful and friendly. We lost touch in more recent times. This is a sad way to start a weekend. Darran if you’re still in touch with Tony’s daughter can you pass on my sympathies and tell her the above please. Ta.

So sorry to read about the passing of your friend, and a fellow Jack. I would like to convey my deepest sympathy to Tony's family and friends at this sad time.
RIP Tony.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Tony. Fair play to Darran on following this up, I had seen him write on a few occasions about his potential whereabouts and well-being. You have lost a friend, Darran, and PS has lost one of its stalwart posters from times gone by.

Dav’s Stats will remain in my mind for years to come.

You’re the second person to ask me that and I shall message her later.

I vaguely remember that now you've mentioned it.

Nice one Daz.
Pass on my condolences, I've learnt the past year how cruel life is.

The last conversation I had with him was about his son being a Deadhead,a fan of the Grateful Dead.
Then he sent me a Leon Russell CD because he said I reminded him of him.
Cheeky twat.

I don't know how, Leon Russell is clearly a better looking and a more refined chap

Sad news, used to enjoy reading his posts, an extremely intelligent person. RIP.
